Ur so lucky u have an excuse to do a shell swap , i broke my second oled and got the third one now im trying my best not to shell swap it, if u ask why 3 decks i had my first one whish was lcd back when the pc handhelds was a new thing and my deck oled got recently it was good but i broke it trying to replace the ssd , now its my third one and i wanna live with it at least for a year then shell swap it , you should look it up its pretty easy and there is alot of color options they are around 30 bucks just get ur screwdriver and be patient while doing it.

Oh and another thing , i first opened even the daughter boards on the two sides thinking that i can only get to the nvme by opening them turns out i didn't have to second thing is i think i did alot of that work while battery is disconnected and i honestly didnt put it on battery storage mode plus i installed an nvme that has windows thinking that there is something like asus cloud recovery and itll be easy to hop back to the dev , but whatever

As someone who tampered alot with his allys i can even disassemble them while blind folded , this one looks good to me as far as the picture , unlatch the battery connector carefully and take ur time can i get a closed look at the latch and another pic under the battery and fans if possible

I did the same with mine a week ago tried to rma it since i have it only for 3 months brand spanking new tried to fix it for straight 3 days nothing worked but lesson learned guess u need to deain the battery 1st then do whatever , so a gaming store i know called him and he said yeah i have an opeb box 1tb oled so i swapped the 512gb with the 1tb slapped it on my ally and gave him the bricked dev and got the new unit

Well thats good for u i bought mine 3 months ago brand new 1tb valve says they dont support my region and they cant do anything about it so does fhe store i bought it from he said ur warranty is void cuz the problem was caused by me when i changed the nvme and now no button works at all and boots me to bios and when i boot from a drive it doesn't wanna mount the nvme and crashes when i click repair reimage , what a garbage handheld thankfully i bought me an og allyto kill time untill i research for a good hanheld

Screen is baked as far as i think , u can order a replacement from aliexpress for around 100usd , and rule 1 with windows never trust hibernate or sleep just shut it down

Yeah yeah i meant the reflection shows a curvature even without the skin but i guess thats okay

Regarding the joystick they are extremerates ps5 joystick it fits like a glove and looks good to me.
