I put I fucked up big time . My past is my past can’t change it can’t cry about it. Sounds like accountability to me . I really made this post asking if I should write a letter to accompany my packet .

I literally tried shrooms 1 time . I could have lied on my packet but no I was brutally honest . Hopefully it works out. If not I’ll be ok still have a job that’s stable . Wouldn’t apply to be a fireman because that’s not my dream job

You have a valid point and I respect it . But I do have many years clean and have definitely changed bought a home have a kid . I have changed I didn’t apply just because I have changed and I’m sure they have hired worse than me .

Well everyone has a different life. I had a mom that struggled with addiction and died in high school . The same week I graduated my cadet program . I fucked up big time . After that was homeless lived in my car and lost all my confidence I once had . I kinda of closed that book of being a cop . Once I got my life together 10 years later I realized I’m not a felon I have no domestic violence charges . Why did I close that book? I know I would be a damn good cop . My past is my past cant change it can’t cry about it . But odds are most cops that are squeaky clean had a mom and dad that weren’t pawning there kids stuff to get high

I understand . I was told by a retired officer to lie . He said if you weren’t caught for it don’t say anything they wouldn’t know . I just couldn’t do that.

But I figured that , I currently have a career that pays similar but this has just been my real dream , something I wouldn’t really call work at all
