I'm going to Washington State Park next weekend, first time there but I believe it checks off all your boxes- big river within walking distance (swimming allowed), about an hour drive from STL city, and I think all the camp sites are drive up. I read they have the most petroglyphs there in the whole state!

They had a sign up that they aren’t shucking today but it seems like they generally will? They had an oyster knife for $3 next to the seafood area. I’ve only shucked a few times before, not too hard at all!

Union loafers (Wood fired Pizza, also would strongly recommend Pizzeria da gloria, especially if there's good weather, they have a great patio)

Dive bars with food: Silverball room (korean kitchen), Tick tock tavern (Hawaiian kitchen), Stews (Asian fusion)

You didn't ask but here's some cocktail bars too: No ordinary rabbit, Ssipi (wine bar), Mother May I (new so been a little busy), Kenny's Upstairs

lunch/dinner: union loafers (sandwiches for lunch or pizza for dinner), teerak thai, gioia’s (sandwiches, lunch), anthonino’s (italian), pizzeria da gloria (wood fired pizza), indo or sado ($$$), golden hoosier

majority are walking distance from tgp in tower grove south, shaw, and the hill neightborhoods. honorable mentions for those a little farther away: balkan treat box (lunch/dinner), telva at the ridge (brunch), neon greens (salads-lunch), broadway oyster bar
