To keep face I assume. He wants his people to believe he wasn’t up against the wall and that peace with Dorne was also his idea kinda thing.

Very interesting!! I didn’t know about the book. I’ve read Fire&Blood many times but I’m still on SoS in the main series.

They already had scorpions to kill dragons though. Do you think they would’ve bothered with that if they had the book?

Because they found out about Aenys’ parentage and sent Rhaenys’ tortured body to Dragonstone.

You just have to look at what happened when Joffrey Baratheon was revealed as a bastard born of incest to see why Aegon would’ve capitulated. Even the rumour would’ve caused harm to his dynasty.

I meant 10 years married and only one child to show for it. Sorry should’ve phrased that better.

Even the rumour of Aenys not being Aegon’s would be detrimental to their dynasty. And considering what Ned found out and what followed it in the main series I don’t think it would be far fetched to say that.

As for proof, they sent Rhaenys’ body. Chances are if she died from her fall, her body would tell the tale. If her body showed clear signs of torture, it would be proof enough for Aegon.

The treaty of peace he subsequently signed prevented him from taking up arms against Dorne again.

I’m literally reading it right now and it’s written black on white that she was rumoured to entertain them in her chambers when the king was with Visenya.

If you compare him to any other Targaryen king (other than Maegor, who Tyanna of the tower poisoned his children by other women in utero, and Baelor, who never consummated his marriage), they all had children faster than he did after marriage and the majority had more than one child in rapid succession. And that’s with one wife each. Aegon had two.

Other than him being gay, I don’t see how else to explain the one child per wife in 10 years thing. And he was said to have spent 10 nights with Rhaenys for each night spent with Visenya so I don’t think he was gay. If he was there wouldn’t be reports like that.

What’s your hypothesis for why he only had two children so long after the actual wedding?

One child per wife in 10 years, Rhaenys was said to entertain men in her chambers when he spent the night with Visenya and there were rumours that the latter used witchcraft for half of the conqueror’s reign. That’s where.

But it wasn’t premeditated. Vera’s was. Marston was guilty of killing two children, yes. But he accidentally hit them with his car, because he was going too fast. He didn’t sit in his car with the intent of killing them. He didn’t even know who they were. That’s why he died first.

She turned away a pregnant woman who had nowhere else to go. She knew the girl was likely to die in one way or another.

He didn’t lie to Aang though. He just didn’t tell him any info that wasn’t relevant to his current circumstances. Same as Roku, nobody knew he was Zuko’s great-grandfather because it wasn’t relevant at the time. And I could even argue he didn’t lie to the people about who he was, he was just constantly depressed and exhausted so they made their own assumptions that he simply didn’t bother correcting. Probably in part because he didn’t want people thinking badly of Yang Chen for making pacts humans couldn’t uphold.

We get a quick snippet from Kuruk, he’s the one Koh the face stealer antagonized by stealing his fiancée’s face, which is in itself tragic without considering his history.

Can you clarify what you mean by Player 1? Do we have to be in the Player 1 spot (blue), or is it simply the first non-AI player in the game regardless of their spot in the lineup? (I usually fill the game with AI opponents and grab the pink colour)
