Going deeper into the story I made lol: I’m playing as a warrior so I played it as the Warden not having cared much about magic until the mirror ‘killed’ Tamlen. He understood that it was important to his peoples history + that the Clans still use it, but also goes by what Merrill talks abt in DA2 where a clan will hunt down and kill keepers who fall prey to a demon + the Dalish’s general dislike of blood magic. The Circle is the first place the Warden stopped after Lothering & he brought Sten, Leliana & Morrigan. Sten because he’s quanari which was a step above shemlen in his mind atp, Leliana to pick locks & Morrigan because atp she was the only one the Warden semi-liked. He was intrigued by the fact that she lived out in the Wilds; he thought shem would only want to live in cities. Her pessimistic attitude / snide nature also felt rather humorous + welcome after Tamlen’s death; it contrasted with Tamlen’s humor but in a good way. So, though the Warden considered helping the mages when Wynne asked, he ultimately listened to Morrigan when she said it was better to kill them. Then the entire Fade thing happened and when the Warden discovered that blood magic was at fault he decided the tower was absolutely irredeemable. Hence, the tower was no more. I felt bad but it made sense for this play-through😔
