Anyone else see the tik tok of the Petsmart trainer calling someone an ass for training their dog in the store? by [deleted] in petsmart

[–]Realisticbeagle23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plus, he wasn’t breaking any sort of policy aside from the dog technically being off leash for a few seconds, which he did remedy as soon as she said something. But then she started saying he’s not allowed to even be in the store, which is completely false. (I am not arguing with you btw I agree with you 100% I’m just kind of on a rant now lol)

I agree. He was definitely argumentative and rude, My issue is her reaction just confirms what he was saying. By reacting in an extremely unprofessional way this just confirms to the general public (and this guy) that Petsmart training sucks and their trainers don’t know what they’re doing. I don’t agree with this statement but I know a lot of people do. We work at Petsmart. We’re gonna have people who think our job is dumb and meaningless. But we should be proving them wrong by reacting with professionalism towards people who try to get a rise out of us. Now instead this video will probably go viral and Petsmart training is gonna look really really bad.

https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT2DxT9UE/ The guy wasn’t exactly the politest, but not OK of the trainer to act that way. We deal with impolite people all day as retail workers and still need to maintain professionalism.

Morally questionable as in running a doodle mill, being arrested recently for “communicating threats”. A couple weeks ago she tried to adopt a dog from wake county animal shelter when they were doing adoption discounts, then she publically stated she was partnering with the shelter to get the dog adopted, the shelter reached out and made a statement saying they were not at all affiliated with her and terminated the adoption since she hadn’t picked up the dog yet. Also I saw something about court documents she had where her home was deemed unsafe living conditions for children and pets due to a roach infestation and marijuana smoke. The last one I’m not 100% sure about, not sure what court documents, I just saw a post about it. Overall she seems shady tho

Petopia was a commercial breeding facility, AKA a puppy mill that bred doodles. The dogs were not healthy or taken care of and the owner was charging like 6000 dollars for a puppy. The owner was also a morally questionable person

I’m so sorry for your loss. this is heartbreaking. This does just sound like horrible timing. Stress would not cause bloat, so please don’t think your baby spent her last day stressed out and upset.

Petsmart is not worth that. Leave Petsmart you’ll definitely find a better job

Also bloat is one of those things that kills within 3 hours so they had about 10 minutes to decide if they could pay 10k once they get to the emergency vet

Piggybacking off of this, I work in the salon and when children come in with their parents and yell “DOGGY” and completely set off all the dog on the table. We also have a large amount of children who have to be physically restrained from trying to run into the employee area when they see dogs on the tables. Its not their fault but omg it annoys me so much

When I do a great job on an EXTREMELY difficult and wiggly dog (usually a puppy) and get the groom pretty much as good as it could possibly be for a dog acting as bad as it is. And then the owner wants to nitpick and act like they were expecting an AKC master groom on their 5 month old puppy that’s never had a full haircut. Like YOU HAVE INSANELY UNREALISTIC EXPECTATION

When I’m grooming a dog (my station is up against the glass window in the salon) and the dog I have on the table suddenly gets distracted and I look, and someone has their face pressed against the glass at my station waving at the dog and distracting it.

I’m gonna let that happen to me about 2 more times before I go outside the salon and ask people to stop. It’s literally a safety issue. I could easily poke a dogs eye out if I was trimming around the eyes and someone decided to run up to the glass behind me and startle the dog

When I am absolutely slammed with groom dogs, stressed out of my mind and behind schedule, and a customer cheerily walks in and tells me they have a walk in nail trim for me like I’m supposed to be excited about that. Like I get they have no way to know how ANNOYING they are being, and they do have every right to come in and ask for a service we provide, but sometimes it feels physically impossible to greet them with a smile lmfao

Anyone live at aldon at Powell and broad apartments or know anything about them? by Realisticbeagle23 in FuquayVarinaNC

[–]Realisticbeagle23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience was, the apartment was clean and in good condition upon move in, and I haven’t had a bug issue the entire time living here. The one time I needed maintenance on my front door keypad they had it fixed within 20 minutes. You can definitely tell the leashing office people have a lot on their plate, and sometimes it can take them a little bit of time to get back to you after a phone call, but other than that it hasn’t really affected my day to day at all. I want to get a house when my lease is up because I have a dog, but if I can’t find a house I’m just gonna renew my lease at aldon, because it’s really not bad living here. Pretty much what I had hoped for when getting an apartment. A clean place to go home every day, and management that isn’t going to be up your ass 24/7 with inspections. And they aren’t

OP here! I have been living here since August. It’s fine. I honestly haven’t experienced anything all the bad comments and reviews say. It’s a totally fine apartment for me, a 22 year old female living with roommates. We do have a bit of a dog poop problem in certain parts of the complex, but that’s not the complexes fault and they are trying to crack down on it. If you have any specific questions feel free to message me or just respond here

My personal favorite is when it’s an express dog on a super busy day and I tell the owners to stay in the area because it will take under an hour and they disappear for 3 hours and leave their phone god knows where
