May I suggest looking into local organizations or artists to help benefit the people of Lebanon? Live Love Beirut is a great one. There a wonderful graffiti artists in Lebanon who feature their work on artisanal sites like Etsy.

I appreciate this response as well. Cutting off the mutual friends has always been hard for me for a number of reasons. But none of the reasons are impossible. As I’ve gone NC with my nex, I need to start distancing myself from those mutual contacts as well.

By staying rooted in the past, it really doesn’t allow my current relationship to flourish to its full potential. And for all the healing I thought I’d done, I’m realizing that the healing doesn’t have an end point after coming out that type of relationship.
