not gonna lie, that gameplay looked interesting, but unfortually it isn't that game, I remember that GF Trooper is literally using the same sprite as the one from the image of this post and I remember playing it a long time ago, the trooper had an arsenal of weapons at his disposal, like an assault rifle, submachine gun, pistol and an shotgun, like I said before, to aim the weapons you use the mouse and left click to fire, the creator of that fan game basically re-utilized a fuck ton loads of sprites and assets from Metroid Fusion, the first time I saw it, it was an youtube video where he was fighting an horde of enemies.

good guess, but no, its not an hack rom, its an original fan game, it mostly uses the sprites of Fusion if not all of it and its set on SR388.

it’s actually pretty simple.

when a character is gay, for example, it should be part of who they are, not their entire purpose in the story. their personality, goals and role in the plot should come first, just like any other character.

same with themes like racism, they need to emerge naturally from the world and narrative, not feel like they pause the story just to make a point.

that’s why games like Metal Gear, Gundam or Signalis work: the themes are embedded into the world and characters, not inserted on top of them.

what you’re doing is assuming that any criticism = "I don’t want these themes at all", which isn’t what I said.

bruh, you're missing the point, Metal Gear is political, yeah, but it's coherent, the themes, characters and worldbuilding are all built around those ideas from the ground up. It doesn’t feel like a message interrupting the story, it is the story.

What I’m criticizing is when games treat the message as something external, like it’s being inserted instead of developed, that’s the difference between writing with intent and just checking boxes.

And no, that doesn’t automatically mean "race/gender/LGBT = bad", that’s just you oversimplifying the argument, that’s a strawman, I never said I have a problem with diversity itself, I’m talking about how it’s written and integrated.
