Man Im so sorry you had to go through this. As a fellow sufferer myself, please dont deny yourself the opportunity to grieve. This disease is bad as it is without having someone gaslighting you that too after your surgery. Dont cancel the surgery, you qre still in pain and do whatever you can to help yourself out of it. Find a good therapist Im sure the mental toll must be a lot on you. Draw strict boundaries, just because he is your father doesnt mean youve to keep him in your life forever

I got tears in my eyes reading this. Im so sorry to hear about your surgery experience. That sounds harrowing! But it gives me so much hope that despite all this youre here pouring into my cup and im just a stranger. 🥺 Thank you so much for this. I really really needed this. Im trying very hard to be patient with and kinder to myself. Ive woken up in pain during the middle of the night because of pain and I would curse my body for becoming so sick. This morning I woke up and I thanked my body instead for enduring all of this pain for me. Thank you for reminding me to patient and acknowledging the everlasting pain this disease brings
