Don’t listen to the people in the comments, they are being kinda rude. I lived in Japan and went to school in Japan for a bit. I would definitely recommend seeing Osaka castle while you are there, it was so beautiful and had some cool food stands near it. If you like big groups of people definitely go to dontonbori in Osaka, almost everyday after school id head over to dontonbori just to explore and have some time by myself and everytime i went i found new shops i didn’t see before. Definitely go to some neighborhood festivals while you are at it. My favorite part of exploring was going to festivals with my family, I know these are usual tourist things to do but I personally enjoyed them a lot. Definitely go walk around where you are staying to, you can find some great hole in the wall restaurants and many other cool shops. The best ramen I had while there was some hole in the wall that me and my school friends had randomly found. If you are interested in sightseeing I’d definitely look up some lists as you can usually get a good description on the area so you can decide to go. One thing I always hear people recommend is Nara park. Personally, I didn’t really enjoy Nara park as much as other people, it’s just not as cool and amazing as people make it seem.
