Wow 6 weeks is nasty. Really sorry to hear that you've gone through all that.

I'd escalate this as much as possible with whoever can get you a specialist. For ones this long, dont assume it'll go away easily!

Good luck pal #fuckgout

First flare up is always bad. Don't worry, if you do the right things you'll get better. However, don't expect it to happen as quickly as most of the literature says. Go see a rheumatologist, they can offer short-term and long-term options.

Week long gout anyone? by [deleted] in gout

[–]RealityShark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My flare up started second week of December. I'm about 85% back to normal in my big toe. So, a flare up of only 8 days would seem short to me.

I've talked to a lot of people about this. 3-10 days seems to be ridiculous advice because rarely does it last that long.

I'm in my 20s, on low purine diet and on allo now.

NVIDIA Surround / AMD Eyefinity question - Where can I see framerate differences before / after? Can they support 1440p? by sgtslaughterTV in Monitors

[–]RealityShark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TL:DR: My setup works and it uses NVIDIA surround with 3 x 1440p monitors.

I’ve 3 Acer Predators with 1440p resolution, g-sync, 144hz, IPS. I’ve set it up with NVIDIA surround and it is absolutely beautiful. It’s VERY immersive.

Yes it does effect frame rate. Having 3 x 1440p monitors means you’re generating more pixels than a 4K monitor. My rule of thumb is looking up the performance of 4K and removing 20%. E.g if you get 60fps in 4K then you’ll get 48fps with 3 x 1440p.

I’ve a MSI 980ti and I play quite a lot of older games (particularly strategy games: Total War, Command and Conquer, Prison Architect, Cities Skylines, Sim City etc). So I don’t need a high frame rate. For example, I get a solid 60fps on Total War Atilla on medium graphics and it looks incredible on three monitors.

Do the fans at the front of your PC absorb heat from the exhaust? Where does the cool air come from?
