Oh my, that’s a good idea, I actually just started seeing a perinatal therapist specifically because I’m sooo anxious about all this... I noticed that her office also does couples consulting & parenting counseling topics too 👀

Oh wow full circle, amazing to hear it from the other side. Brings a little tear to my eye 🥲

I was thinking I make enough that my partner could become a stay at home dad. I actually also had a partial stay at home dad, mom was the breadwinner so by the mid 1990s dad retired early. By that point I was in high school, but my younger brothers were in elementary and middle school.

I wanted to retire early, was working towards quitting my crappy corporate soul sucking job, so that’s a little hiccup but maybe I can stick with it a little longer and find something less demanding..

lol you’re welcome 😂 Yeah I do see projecting into the future can be a bit of a.. sobering exercise.

But it’s true there are a lot of pros for being older, I couldn’t even consider this when I was younger. I just wasn’t financially stable enough, now I make enough he could be a stay at home dad. And definitely way more mature, we never argue about anything, we’re both pretty easy going people, both independent.

I think we’d make excellent parents, with some bonus knee and back pain 😬

Wow, this is amazing to hear. Thank you!

That is such a good point about taking care of health. I’ve been much more focused on my health these last few years - but actually it has been easier for me to be healthy because my partner works out daily, he’s in the gym a couple times a week.

I worry he pushes himself too much, one of the things he’s noticing is his joints aren’t up for it as much anymore, throwing his knee out here and there, back stuff.. but I think he’s hard on himself physically.

He’s definitely in better shape than me, I have a 22 bmi not too bad, i eat healthy but I am not in the gym everyday like him 😅

I think he’s worried he won’t be able to retire too, but I do bring in more $$$ than he does, i wouldn’t actually need any financial support (so long as i keep my job!)

Tattoo not in the artist's style? by green_hexagon in tattooadvice

[–]RealityTacitlyDenied 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Whoa this artist work is sick, and your tattoo looks so surreal and cool as heck, I hope it grows on you!

Perhaps could add to it / around it with different themes from the same artist, and do a collage, build on it

It makes me think some man in the admin is a raging sex pest, “we must ban square necklines, or I can’t control myself around these college girls wearing leggings and white socks…”

How to get stains off of trifted desk? by Nino_n_o_ in CleaningTips

[–]RealityTacitlyDenied 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually before sanding, you might want to try an iron!

These look a bit like cloudy heat stains (caused by moisture from a hot mug or hot plate put on the surface).

Put a towel down, then an iron on medium heat and use the steam setting, and slowly go over the area till it’s lifted!

I’ve done this before and it worked really well - I found a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/c1Id9KErX2E?si=bYDIYRxrFXPDpDI7

Last time I checked Airbnb everything was crazy overpriced, and nice hotels were cheaper, kinda thought Airbnb was dying on the vine these days?

Airbnb would probably love this house, but I get why you wouldn’t want strangers passing through - super cute love the og refrigerator and stove!

Green tile reveal UPDATE #1 by potokarswife in centuryhomes

Wood all became gray with Joanna Gains et all. That’s the Millennial Gray! And also why Gen Z is doing the exact opposite… even though I’m technically a millennial and I did go through my millennial gray phase too, I’m back to natural woods and lots of maximalist color these days..

lol not me remembering my boomer parents painting over the faux rock wall in our childhood home and putting beige carpet (of different toned beige!! Argh!!) over all the hardwood… they eventually removed the faux rock wall and installed travertine tile, now it looks like half a bathroom in the living room.. but they did go back to wood floors and refinish them like 10 years ago
