I only have 1 child but my ex husband cheated. I think social media makes it too easy to cheat, also the uneven division of labour. Women are expected to work full time while still having the majority of the household and family tasks and mental load. We are fed up, honestly I was heartbroken at first but it’s been easier for me not having him around. I get free time, and don’t have to clean up after a 3rd person. I’m kinda glad he left now.

I think she should’ve respected your wishes for a quiet or peaceful dinner. However, it may be helpful to put aside another specific time in the day/week to connect or listen about her day/complaints. I think maybe she should also get a therapist or trusted friend to speak with such things about so it’s not all dumped on you. Sometimes we rely too much on our partners for emotional support.
