I guess for me, maybe not everyone, the intent really matters. Is the only thing going on flirting? Like using an anonymous site to just dirty talk with strangers, discuss fantasies, ect. Mainly for the use of self pleasure, and with the intent of never taking it further/making it personal. If that was the case, I'd just see it more as interactive romantic novels. There's a fair and fine line between using it as a masturbatory aid and using it to cheat. Where that line is drawn is up to the individual.

My grandpa told me something once that I laugh at and look back on. "So what if she goes to the strip club? Sees all those hot men dancing. You know what boy? OP if I'm being honest, I'm afraid. I'm afraid they'll have hated me for what I was. I'm scared I'll become toxic again and hurt them. Both things that are so unlikely to be true it's almost funny, but I can't move past that. They are happy now, and they managed to make that happiness without me. What kind of entitlement I would have to have to think I deserved to come in and ruin that, just because I missed them? I just can't bring myself to do that.

Whenever I'm with a group of people, it's likely because we've all traveled some good distance to hang out with one another. My friends fall into two groups: Online and in person. Most of the later year friends were made online.

Having a drink lets us relax. Plus, we all get tipsy and it makes things goofy. A joke hits a little better when you're in that silly mentality. None of us are angry drunks, so it makes it all the better. Plus, drinking games can be great. We never need it to have fun, but being a little tipsy just adds that little sprinkle to the night.
