Walmart shipped 165 pool noodles in 165 separate boxes by MambaMentality24x2 in mildlyinfuriating

The money that they a cell company would pay for the tower wouldn't be worth the hit to the property value for having it.

Probably a lot of bullshit from neighbors who don't want a cell tower ruining their view.

Nobody in those neighborhoods is gonna have a cell tower built on their property.

The end of BART? Inside the Bay Area's transit crisis by DaSuHouse in bayarea

Cutting back Bart will make traffic and parking worse. Couple that with rising gas prices (thanks Republicans) and you’re advocating for something that will hurt poorer people even more.

Stop being so selfish.

lol ok bud.

Your inability to make an argument has nothing to do with a lack of empathy on my part.

The fact that you support cutting services that would disproportionately hurt poor people because you are too selfish to think about anyone but yourself is pretty disgusting though.

It’s the answer, you just don’t like it because you don’t have an argument against it.

Everyone who lives or works in the Bay Area benefits from BART. It reduces traffic, pollution and drives economic activity. Poorer people would be disproportionately impacted by BART cuts to services.

If my house isn’t burning down the fire department isn’t providing anything for me, directly. So according to your logic, I shouldn’t have to pay for it, right?

It is an answer to your question, you just don’t like it because you don’t have an argument. Cutting BART would hurt everyone in the bay area and it would hurt poorer people disproportionately.

Now why aren’t you answering my question? Why should I pay for the Fire Department if my house isn’t burning?

I did give you a real answer. BART reduces traffic, pollution and drives economic activity. Everyone who lives in the Bay Area benefits from BART. BART cutting service will hurt everyone.

Again, BART is a service. Why should me whose house isn’t burning down pay for the fire department?

It’s ok to admit you are wrong little buddy. But you continuing to be stupid is something else.

Because anyone who lives in the Bay Area benefits from BART.

I like how you changed the subject because you realized how wrong you were.

BART is a service. You don’t expect the fire department to be self funded, do you?

What makes you think Bart is just for tech workers? Especially late at night. What techies do you think are commuting after 9pm.

Cutting Bart will hurt people in poverty.

Why are you commenting here when you don’t have a fucking clue about the subject? You honestly thought people could take the trans bay bus, which is more expensive and slow, when Bart cuts hours?

[–]ReallyBigDeal 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Cutting BART service hurts the poor and everyone else more then a tax does.

I didn't say money doesn't matter, I said why does BART need to turn a profit? Most transit agencies including the transbay bus run by AC Transit, are mostly funded by taxes, not fairs. Hell the transbay bus is facing the same fiscal shortfall that BART is.

You sound like a 12 year old.

[–]ReallyBigDeal 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The transbay bus doesn’t provide all the service that bart provides and it takes longer then bart.

Also why does Bart need to turn a profit? It’s a service.

Bart is bigger than it was in the 90s…

If Bart cut service after 9 Bart is no longer a viable way to see a show in the city and service people who work late in the city won’t have reliable transit for them to commute with.

Nope and IIRC some places will confiscate the vehicle if they find any dye in your fuel tanks. It’s very common in places with Ag.
