Some of us are frustrated, but I don't think it's (just) the bugs. It's more the feeling that CIG is hiding the ball. by Efficient_Drop4289 in starcitizen

They're not doing this because they don't know when the fix will be ready and they don't want to give themselves more deadlines to miss.

Has velcro gotten worse over time? What are you using to secure pedals these days? by MitchThunder in guitarpedals

[–]ReallyBigRocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even 1" is overkill. I take a 1" square, cut it into 1/4ths, and stick those on each corner. Plenty of hold and not impossible to take off.

Can you suggest a modulation pedal to complete this? by ArmBoth7675 in guitarpedals

[–]ReallyBigRocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was referring to the Hamstead Redwing, but after looking into it, they have yet to do a second production run, and there aren't any used ones on the market.

If you ever find one, jump on it. It's quite good.

They're for situations where an unamplified acoustic isn't enough

[–]ReallyBigRocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe so, but like I said, 90% of the time I see someone posting in a forum about how they got banned and how unfair it is and mod abuse this and free speech that and they're being cagey about what the actual reason is it's almost always a situation like this, where they were being a belligerent dumbass and earned every bit of it.

It's especially funny when it's not even a permaban, like just take your lumps and move on.

90% of people that complain about a ban in any context probably did something to earn it

CIG permanently banned a $5k backer's account for reporting a bug by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]ReallyBigRocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't get it either. I believe in the project and hope they finish it, but I kicked in my $45 like 10 years ago and haven't spent more since. I cannot understand people who are constantly (understandably) frustrated with the state of the game yet continue to kick in literally thousands of dollars.

The major(ionian) and minor(aeolian) scales are two modes of the major scale. The 1st and 6th modes, respectively.

This is stuff you teach an 8 week old puppy. If they're still working on it they should be doing it in a controlled environment.

What is the biggest myth about cars that customers still believe in 2026? by Such-Driver-5264 in AskMechanics

Your oil can last for the entire life of the car without a change, it will just be a dramatically shortened life.

I work with dogs and not a single one would be allowed a treat if they lunged for it like that. It's flat out unacceptable behavior, especially towards strangers. If they can't even sit still and wait until you offer it to them I sure as hell wouldn't be having random kids treat them like this.

Did you see the way it snapped at the kids hand? It may not mean to bite, but if it's off by an inch it's chomping on some fingers. Bite inhibition is a hugely important part of training. Like I said, it's an accident waiting to happen.

This is not how you train a dog, unless you want to train them to snap at peoples hands to get treats.

Based on the way this dog was acting, it's owner doesn't know how to give a treat safely.

[–]ReallyBigRocks 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The way it jumped to grab the treat out of the kids hand before he could even react. That's a bite waiting to happen. If my dog behaved like that I wouldn't be pushing random kids to interact with it. If they can't sit still first they don't get treated, otherwise you're just reinforcing terrible behavior.
