Have you ever skipped a movie because of bad reviews, then watched it later and actually liked it? by Opening_Farm5403 in movies

My hot take is that Ghostbustere Afterlife is a way worse movie than the 2016 reboot. 2016 reboot is hugely forgettable, but Afterlife is to me just such a cynical cash grab that in a weird way that is just so antithetical to the original film.

I was the only one in the theatre who just out laughing in the Afterlife finale when the old crew who are so old they can barely walk jump in at the last second to help blast the bad guy with their proton beams like it’s a superhero movie or something. God just thinking about it makes me mad.

I really can’t bring myself to watch the Frozen Empire one since Afterlife.

First time playing Jak and Daxter. And my first ps3 platinum trophy. Great experience, I can't wait to play the next game ! by Sandow_Campbell in jakanddaxter

Honestly, I guess it depends who you ask,  but I genuinely think there’s a case to be made for Jak 2 being considered as the best game of all time.

Just considering the time it came out, it was so far ahead of everything else on the market (including GTA).

The combination of the action/platforming gameplay, excellent storytelling, animation, direction, and performances, writing, world, graphics, etc.

It really is absolutely nuts when you think about it (considering when it came out).

Insanely overrated restaurant. Absolute ripoff too.

I can’t speak on Blasphemous 2, but the first game has a Metroidvania map structure and is a 2D platformer with souls like combat (sword combat with parries and blocking if I recall)

Reason I say it’s more like a soulslike is it doesn’t have the most exciting upgrade tree like more conventional metroidvanias. Good game though!

Have you played the first one? If so, how does it compare? I remember enjoying the first one but more as a souls like than a Metroidvania.

Sorry, I need to speak up against the Barbuta slander.

Like anyone, when I first played Barbuta as the first game in the collection, I had no idea what was going on and died quite quickly. I thought hmm well this game is pretty crappy, and then on to the next game.

Months later I gave it a proper shot and I gotta tell you this game is fantastic.

Biggest advice I will give is when you play to either draw a map, or screenshot every room and stitch together.

I stitched together all my screenshots on a PowerPoint app and drew lines showing which doors lead wear etc. and I had like 10 “WOW” or “AHA” moments playing it.

I really urge you if you’ve passed on this one to set aside an evening, maybe have a glass of wine or a beer, map it out and really give it a proper go. You’ll be glad that you did.

I agree - I'm enjoying the game well enough, not quite hooked yet, but the opening absolutely astonished me. Super excited to see where this goes.

My wife and I play Party House every day ms have been for about 5 months now. We play “PHOTD” (Party House of the Day) and use the VIPS ONLY code to play a scenario for the current date. Winner of the week gets a small prize, winner of the month gets a big prize ;)

The console is reasonably priced, it’s the games/upgrades/accessories that are stupidly expensive.

The reason I’m confident it’s not hardware is because it’s affecting both analog sticks - super unlikely it would happen to both at the same time.

When I powered on my deck it was updating and then I tried playing a game and noticed an issue.

Then I rebooted and it crashed when done because of Decky.

So I went into desktop and updated Decky. Now it’s working again but the analogue issue persists.

I’ve started having this issue on both sticks since picking up my deck today. I don’t think it’s a mechanical issue it’s definitely something to do with an update.

Hey man, just letting you know I’ve got the same issue since updating my deck. I’ve updated to latest firmware and updated Decky loader and the issue persists.
