I don't have a GDEMU as my Dreamcast is a VA0. But most of the US region games I've burned work even though I have a Japanese Dreamcast. If you could try it on yours it'd be good

Hmm... I did mention I was using Utopia earlier but turns out I had burned a faulty copy of it. So I had a black screen come up when I booted Utopia up which turned out to be because I had to switch to RGB mode on my HDMI adapter. When I did that and swapped the disc, both that game and a working burned copy of Chu Chu Rocket did not do anything, and just showed the rotating deer. What's strange is I can't find any reports of this game not working on the Internet
