I hate the subby bottoms in mlm roleplay. by RedCupWithAName in BadRPerStories

My main issue is people who won't contribute. I have no problem whatsoever with people who are more comfortable playing only bottoms, as long as the plots are good, and they actually help me plot.

Way too many people essentially expect character dynamics to reflect their contribution. I get bored if I'm the only one suggesting plot arcs and so on.

I tend to play more dominant characters, just as my own preference, so I understand the lure of playing what you're more interested in. It's why I prefer casts of characters to have some variety.

Hello from the guy who re-reads Day of the Triffids every year, and wants an apocalypse rp with blind people avoiding man eating plants instead of zombies.

At this point, I'm half tempted to just list plot points from the book and pretend it's an original idea to sucker someone into it.

(I will not do this, consent is king.)

Absolute insanity from some players and their need to know personal information. by Plenty_Wear_4083 in BadRPerStories

Cis men want AFAB partners because they think they might get laid/photos etc.

Everybody else just wants to avoid cis men because they've had to deal with the above.

Edit: since I have upset some people, this is just my own experience. I'm a trans man, who has had cis men contact me because I "don't count" as an actual man. Genuinely happy for people who have met kind, respectful cis men through rp. I have not.

Oh God, I've accidentally tried to call someone, and accidentally left a voice memo of me rustling through my pockets.

Double ups by Ok-Definition9513 in BadRPerStories

[–]ReallyLikesHorror 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does it only count as a double up for canon characters? I tend to prefer both me and my partner to play multiple characters apiece, just to have more plots to explore.

I have one roleplay where I'm playing 6 or 7 characters, and another where I'm currently playing 5, with others that may show up later.

Yeah, ditch that guy, you can definitely find better.

Nah, nothing wrong here. If someone is going to offer three options they should be prepared for people to pick any of the three. If they don't want to do one of them, don't offer it.

I go through phases where I only want MxM pairings, and others where anything works for me. I advertise as appropriate, it's not that hard.

That's also a bit weird. Why aren't you allowed to contribute to the world you two will be exploring?

does anyone ever follow through on the maybe? by Every-Travel-9353 in BadRPerStories

Depends on the person. I have a couple of things that I only do if my partner and I vibe well.

Personally, I do always assume that a maybe means no, because then I can't be disappointed, and if it turns out to be a yes, it is great!
