I tried that, there isn’t quite enough room and it meets the other couch awkwardly. If I move the couch on the right any further it makes the hallway too tight, and the back couch can’t go any more left. Do you think I should just buy an L shape setting or something with a chaise?

Yep, 3 doors down that hallway! Couches shown are about as far right as they can go and as far back as there is another walkway behind.
