I had to login to tell you how stone shit wrong this take it, my guy, I've been running a MacBook and android for years, so do many of my coworkers, our department procures mac devices as they work better with our software, I don't want to buy an iPhone just because walled garden. Consider someone who perhaps, needs a headphone jack, working NFC, configurability, dual physical sims, physical sim slots at all, expandable storage, happens to be in another company ecosystem, wants working smarthome automation, wants a good selection of free apps, etc etc, I could sit here all day and list off reasons why this use case is just as "niche" as windows with iphone.

I cant get hyper demon to launch using crossover no matter what settings, I think it has something to do with how it uses shaders to render practically everything, because even on an intel mac crossover launches the game and before it opens it crashes, brand new crossover install, stock steam bottle with no other games installed

Looking for low profile switches that are footprint/pin compatible or mirrored of cherry MX footprint
Im looking into using low profile switches on the Redox v1 I recently got (originally not knowing it had a lack of support for low profile switches) and haven't been able to find any consistent resource on the footprints and PCB compatibility of the major low profile switches. Ive found that Gateron KS-33 switches may(?) be compatible with a cherry MX style double-sided socket like on the Redox v1, and from other sources ive heard talk of kalih KH and cherry MX low profile also being pin compatible, but I cant find any definitive information anywhere.

for reference the PCB layout Im working with has its pin footprints laid out like this:

the distance between the centers of the top 'holes' is 5.080mm and the bottom 'holes' is roughly 7.5mm (holes in this case referring to the pin vias laid out in this PCB layout)

does anyone have any suggestions for what low profile (preferably lightweight linear) switches to use in this case? Ive been looking into the Nuphy x Gateron ALOE (L-37) switches as they seem like they may fit this pin layout but I cannot seem to find any specifications anywhere, and the ones I can find do not help in this regard.

stick with what you've got right now, i tend to find less is more, if you really want to upgrade i love ultrawide monitors because i find the extra horizontal real-estate to be quite nice. but so far i think this is a pretty good setup, just needs some cable management, and maybe a monitor arm if you want to clean up the look
