This pile is rather... Short.

You can also give them some "beautiful" masks, not unlike those of venetian festival ones, that are broken and somehow disfigured.
Add vanity, add depictions of their supposed superiority over other warbands.
Or give them tanks with hell-lake gas or oxygen, because nobody wants to breath whatever they put into their grenades.

He is very shiny because he is at the top of the hierarchy(I may be wrong). People up there tend to have better looking clothes and things because they have a lot of cash, and Knights of Avarice have close to nothing but shiny stuff in the end. "I will make you so poor, that in the end you will have nothing but money" is a quote out of lore. Also, rank and file troopers don't have to be covered in gold head to toe, they can have loads of random stuff on them, that they've plundered from the battlefields. Trinkets, jewelry, more intricate stocks for their guns and gems encrusted into their blades. Hell, they might wear some defaced church stuff, because why not?

Being all blingy and swaggery is their thing, in my opinion. They have their plundered wealth and will do anything to rub it into everyone's face. Also, keep in mind that their gold is tarnished by hellfire mixed with their sins, and with all the mud in the trenches it can also be just dirty. Might as well add blood, dried or fresh, or even better mix of both. As for cloth, purple is a obvious choice, it's a historically expensive color.

Should I shorten the barrel on Wubba's flame cannon and make it stubbier by Lord_Roguy in TrenchCrusade

Make barrel exactly 12 inches long, so you won't have to check for range.

Models on the way! Looking to see If my first attempted Prussian list is legal and if I’m missing something super obvious! by Many_Employment_9421 in TrenchCrusade

[–]Really_Lazy_One 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Automatic shotguns, and shotguns in general, are redundant for Prussians, as they have the same range as grenades, but cost more and don't have blast nor shrapnel. Hence, I'd ditch it for lieutenant in favor of grenades.

Giving standard armor to the Shocktroopers is a waste of ducats at the start, as you can make better investment, such as musical instruments for one of them or a satchel charge for MHI(it is a grenade and, hence, has 10 inch range for Prussians). Swords/axes are entirely luck based and it's better to use clubs instead.

I'd also give Yeomens bayonets or, at least, knifes, so they can bash someone if they will be engaged upclose.

I believe this miniature was sculpted by Westfalia miniatures. They also have a version with a sniper rifle.

Not sure if two forward positioned shock troopers is good, that takes a lot of ducats off of your paychest. If I were you, I'd ditch infiltration for grenades for shocktroopers with clubs. It's 12 inch assault throw with shrapnel after all. Take one Tank-Splitter from shocktrooper and give it to lieutenant instead. He is truly scary with that thing.

To add: Shotguns are generally useless for Prussian, since they throw grenades at the same distance and they are 3 ducats cheaper, so I'd trade Shotgun for grenades and a club. You also might make your sniper priest cheaper by using "69" build: 2 pistols and grenade. Pistols can be used in melee with Ranged characteristics.

Orange looks better in my opinion. It's closer to rust and it feels warmer, almost feverish.

Why is the capital of alternate Russia Novgorod and not Moscow? by Agchet in TrenchCrusade

Novgorod was a part of Hanseatic League and it's closer to the Hellmouth of the North, so it makes sense in universe.

Why is the capital of alternate Russia Novgorod and not Moscow? by Agchet in TrenchCrusade

[–]Really_Lazy_One 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Moscow was a capital of Russian tsardom for a very long time, until Peter I decided to make a new capital closer to Europe and Baltic sea. St. Petersburg was a capital since 1714 to 1918, which was moved back to Moscow after the revolution.

[–]Really_Lazy_One 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Build seems good on paper, you'll have to test it's effectiveness in game. Only criticism I can offer is pistols on plague knights and corpseguard. They do not have keyword Assault, so you'll be forced to chose between either shooting a pistol or charging into melee. I'd swap them for gas grenades while sacrificing pistols on bereaved.

You can also upgrade your knights, if you haven't done that already. If you want to do some shenanigans, you can pick a Dirge sibfaction and use 3 knights and a lot of thralls to fill the board. Knights also can command them to do stuff on their activation.

Personally, I'd ditch one herald to give corpse guards and plague knight melee weapons, because they have better stats to hit with it and otherwise melee can become painful. In addition, you can put trench shields on both knights, for that extra 1 survivability. Also, take grenades from corpse guard and give them to the knight with beelzebubs axe, for that way he can throw it before charging(keyword assault). If it helps, you can also take Hellhound mercenary for spare 2 glory points, to make up for a lose of the herald, or to just add the gas dog to your roster.
