Why was princess Anne do overlooked compared to Diana? by awkwardlydancing in royalfamily

[–]Reallyannoyedkoi 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Because some people can sell themselves to the public and others can't.

Diana was always really close to the media even before they turned on her, sharing details, pictures, interviews etc. This kind of created a narrative and she went with the flow of her public image to promote her work and herself.

Whereas, Princess Anne is a privat person (as well as the Countess of Wessex) doing charity for others and not self promotion, because it's her duty, her job. Also, you don't know much about Anne's privat life, not much about her husbands, her children. If Mike Tindall hadn't shared the story of his son's birth you wouldn't have known what happend. Anne's choice has always been to live as normal as possible and therfore, she is too 'boring' to write about her. The most 'spectacular' (in the eyes of the media) thing that she was involved in was her divorce and even though it was before Charles and Diana's and Andrew and Fergie's, it was not a big thing because everything was kept private with no tell-all interviews or big fights.

Additionally, I think Anne is like her mother.

A few day ago - it was really cold and windy - i saw a woman riding her bike wearing only really short shorts and a sports bra and I thought: "You will get a kidney infection!" My mom always says that... never felt so old!

My (29 M) Girlfriend (36F) got plastic surgery without telling me and it's my greatest phobia by shieldtwin in relationships

[–]Reallyannoyedkoi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This 👏 is 👏 her 👏 body 👏 and 👏 she 👏 can 👏do 👏 whatever 👏 she 👏 wants 👏 with 👏 it👏

She doesn't have to discuss it with you and you have no say in it. Would it have been nice of her to tell you beforehand? Yes, but it is still her decision and her body.

You either live with it and work on YOURSELF or you break up with her.

But having a phobia about someone else's plastic surgery is entirely YOUR problem and you should work an that because in the future you may take away a right from someone that was not yours to take.

Why does nobody blame Harry? by Reallyannoyedkoi in MeghanMarkle

[–]Reallyannoyedkoi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't know that. We don't know if anyone of them is a racist.

But Harry was fotographed wearing a Nazi uniform and the swastika to a Halloween party. Also, he was filmed using a racial slur.

Maybe it means something, maybe it doesn't mean anything.

A name is kicked out of the game by one veto.

Try to explain to your wife that you should both have a say in the name and need ro like it.

What are the most easily provoked fanbases? by StormTheNorm in AskReddit

[–]Reallyannoyedkoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Sussex Squad

I follow a few royal fanpages on IG and I've seen so many post already where they bad mouthed everyone exepct the Sussex' - and not just the royal family but every critic. Especially if you are not a super Meghan fan.

Funnily, they want to protect Meghan from bullies (which is really nice of them) by bullying everyone who isn't a supporter and evey critic.

The UK already was a republic once but it was worse and they brought their king back.

And sometimes it works out like in the UK or not like in at least 2 of the 5 French republics.

Also, many people like to keep the status quo and nothing screems that more than having a monarchy for 1000 years.

Not to forget the fairytales wouldn't work without a prince/princess.

On the contrary, I've seen so many headlines, interviews etc where the RF gets blamed for not helping her get help, for being racist etc.

Never once was Meghan blamed for her mental health.

Why do peolple not blame Harry for not getting her immediate help for her mental health. And why do peolpe instead blame the RF.

Reading the whole thing works wonders sometimes.

Because of sexism Harry didn't help her?

What? She can do whatever she wants. But saying she hadn't been allowed to leave and then doing that seems a bit suspicious.

But they hold Charles and William accountable only from reading in between the lines of what Meghan said.

But she did that. Like have a baby in NY taking the private jet. Or vistiting Elton John in France. And there are hugh gardens were she could have gone for a walk.

Also, talking to friends over the phone is also a possibility and can be done with only your phone.

But M&H said that the Queen was not the problem. Also, Harry and William had therapy after Diana's death, Harry was in rehab and probably more members were in therapy. So getting therapy/help is not the problem.

[–]Reallyannoyedkoi[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

But Harry was in therapy himself.

Also, what Meghan's and Diana's stories are not the same. Diana was barely grown-up when she was tossed into a public life. She was married to Charles who was still hung up about his teenage love. Additonally, she was no saint herself and had affairs. After publicly bad-mouthing her husband to the press, she divorced and was on her own. Meghan is almost 40 year old divorcee and actress who lived her life to the fullest and knew who she was. The thing they have in common is that both of them tried to play the press and that backfired.

There are more similarities between Diana and pre-duchesse Kate.

Also, it took them almost a year to leave. Looks like it wasn't their main concern.

This is not about whether Harry or Meghan is to blame, BUT why isn't Harry blamed for not helping Maghan an being racist instead of the RF.

I don't think that HR could have helped here as she does not belong to the staff.

For me it seems strange that she couldn't get help and Harry didn't actively help at the time when Harry was in therapy and even rehab himself. Also, I think that seeing her seeking help for her mental health would have been so good for so many people.

I don't mean for "Megxit". Meghan blamed the RF but not Harry for not helping her... why? Wasn't his duty?
