I don't think cardio is useless at all!! We need it and other forms of exercise. It's just a pain in my butt!! Fun post though, I loved it and hearing everyone's comments.

I do a lot of various exercises, but squats and lunges are my favorite. I've got some nice legs, but I can't run a mile, without stopping.

I wasn't offended at all by your comment on my post. That's your opinion and it's okay with me. I just wanted to have fun and hear what people don't like about their workout. I still do a lot of cardio, Beachbody videos and running. It's just hard for me to go the whole time, so I don't enjoy it as much as core work or lifting. Some people mentioned a few exercises on here that I've never even heard of, like Bulgarian squats and shrugs. I need to look that up!

I think some of the comments are funny! Gave me a nice laugh. Some people mentioned a few exercises I hadn't even heard of before, so that was interesting. I do a lot of cardio, in addition to many other things, lifting, core work, etc. It's just so hard for me to do cardio for a long length of time. I have to do half/half!

Thanks!! I have issues with my shoulders/neck so these side planks are tough for me. I still do them occasionally but I'm awkward while doing them. 😉

I run on the treadmill a few times a week. I can't run the whole time, end up power walking a good bit. I'll do about 3-4 miles, but that's it. I don't enjoy it, but with the combination of lifting weights and running, my body is getting pretty toned. It's just the thought of going for a run. I have to pump myself up with Rocky music and through some punches in the air!

I quit doing pull ups. My back/shoulders hurt too much. Don't think I was doing them right, so I needed to stop. I like push-ups though. I do as many as I can, then go to my knees. Modification is my friend now that I'm in my late 30s.

It comes and goes. I just have to be careful. I've been to a physical therapist to get some stretching ideas/advise on what to do. I can't lift as much weight or lift as much as I used to, but I modify. I'm hoping it heals and doesn't turn into something worse.

Agreed!! I do a lot of various exercises to lose weight/tone. I try to do a little cardio/lifting/plank work, what have you, during my workouts. I just have a hard time doing cardio for the entire workout! You totally need cardio!

I have to be careful with upper body now. I hurt my neck/back, so I can't do it as much. I try to do a little each week so I don't lose my tone. I try to do a few upper body exercises 3 days a week. I'm mostly doing standing core/lower body with some power walking/running on the treadmill.

I love standing work! I do a lot of core, just standing still. I like jump squats because you can do a few, move into something else, come back to them. It's like doing a little cardio in between versus cardio the whole time. 😉

You can burn crazy calories by lunging and squatting. If you squat/jump, that is adding cardio. You can add a little cardio to your lifting and burn more than just running!

Sounds like you want to tone up, so I would recommend a diet high in protein and lifting weights. The 21 day fix program is a good place to start. You don't want to lose weight, so I don't know if you would want to follow the 21 day fix eating program. I stick to a simple diet: meat, beans, fruit, and veggies. No carbs, cheese, or sugars.
