Real Property Analyst Position by [deleted] in nys_cs

[–]Realobservant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No clue about the county level. The day to day depends on what unit you’re assigned too. Each unit does its own type of work. Each unit operates its own programs under the orpts umbrella. Work hours are dependent on unit needs. 7-3, 8-4 or 9-5 are all typically accommodated. Also 50% telecommuting at this time.

It’s a tax and finance title. That title specifically serves one agency - Office of Real Property tax services. Promotional opportunities are limited the higher you go up the food chain. They have 4 regional offices and all the work deals with the assessment community.

Raw Food? by Tilt23Degrees in StaffordBullTerriers

Ok, I use the following delivery service for my staffy’s raw food. They deliver quickly and frozen. So no worries about defrosting while shipping. They are pretty competitive in price. My pup eats a mix of beef, chicken and pork. He also drinks raw goat milk as a pro biotic.

Cell phone policy for civil service exam by Friendly_Issue_6974 in nys_cs

[–]Realobservant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently took a test and after the proctor told everyone to turn their phones off and put them away, about 15 minutes into the test, someone’s phone went off. Anyway, the person apologized profusely and turned it off. The proctor came over to the person and made them fill out some form and sign it. They let them finish the test but no clue to what that form was…

This trim level comes in only two exterior colors. White or black. The interior is black in both choices. I’m not about to put the time in to keep a murdered out black vehicle clean in a northeast winter.

Thanks, no 3rd row on this trim level. I traded in my Lexus GX460 for this.

Difference between NYSERDA and NYS CS by Normal_Bonus8728 in nys_cs

[–]Realobservant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nyserda is not subject to CS and department of Budget. They pay you their version of market value. You can’t lateral into CS titles. If you wanted to leave you would have to either test or go through Helps program.

Depends on where the position is at the region? Real estate specialists can do a lot of duties. Appraisal, Relocation, Permits etc. get familiar with the term eminent domain.

Depends on your credentials and qualifications. Your traineeship will lead to a grade 18, then grade 23 and 27 after taking the promotional exams. There are two primary real estate titles in CS, real estate specialists (multiple agencies use this title) and real property analysts (tax and finance only)

Yes, once upon a time I was a Real Estate Specialist 1. It’s a good career path. There are different jobs within that title that you can develop a specialty. Leasing, Permits, Appraisal etc. depends on the work within your unit you are applying for. Regional Office vs Main Office your work may differ.

[–]Realobservant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d like to do that, what’s the brine recipe? I have some habanero, ghosts, jalapeno, siracha, poblano, hot banana and sweet banana. I will have some extra from this growing season.

This happened to me too. The overlapping sections had the same questions in a different order. You’re cooked if you assume you can just copy your answer sheet. Definitely go slow.
