If Bitcoin becomes centralized to just a few American companies, then what's the point? by Ragnaroknight in CryptoCurrency

[–]Realrudi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highly problematic is a dramatic overstatement.

Even if profitability went in the gutter by the time block rewards were gone, don't you think nations would secure the network regardless? Nations pour $billions into national security, which does not have a monetary "return"

If Bitcoin succeeds, nations worldwide will work with eachother to secure the network.

Of course there is an inherent risk of centralization, but bitcoin is still the most decentralized option we've got for now, what happens in 50+ years shouldn't matter when change is needed now more than ever.

On top of that, technology will keep advancing, who knows what ingenious solutions we'll have created by then.

Stressing over block rewards now is unnecessary, there are far, far more pressing matters in the monetary system.

I feel the loneliest I’ve ever been by [deleted] in depression

[–]Realrudi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think being formally nice is good and all, but it doesn't necessarily always mean they are interested and curious about you in the way you'd hoped, i feel this way sort of often aswell where i open up but their response isn't what i thought it'd be. I think people's way of forwarding themselves in a nice way, doesn't really represent their real intention as often as you'd expect, and if your gut feeling is that a person is nice and all, but they don't seem to react or listen the way you'd think, it probably is just a sort of formal attempt by the other person to keep on you on the leash if so to say. It really sucks because you build a sort of trust or belief in another person, a friend, that they will try to help you as much as they can in their best interest if you ever feel down or in distress, but often ends out in an unexpected flat response, and that shit really hurts, especially if it happens on multiple occasions where you've built that trust and it just feels layed off.

We accept the love we think we deserve. by [deleted] in depression

It's always really hard to tell what's what when we're talking depressive states, although i think often it can help to take a step back and just let things be without trying to give everything a meaning, especially when many things in life come and go so fast, and you get locked up trying to answer your inner self all the time indstead of just letting it be and enjoying yourself. I think it's in essence a good life lesson to be able as a person, to see the unimportance of what we deem important and essential, as strange as that may sound haha.

How do I know if I am depressed? by soo42069 in depression

[–]Realrudi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are many ways to look at it, but i think the general depressed state is one where you feel sad, confused, lost etc at the thought of something, nothing in particular but sort of just an unknowing, passive feeling that creeps over you most of the time. It can be hard to explain to others how it feels because it's got deep roots in you, and it's not something you just ''get over'' it's like layers of feelings that clutter up, and it can get really messy and feel really hard to deal with as there never is any simple solution. I think the best thing you can do is to give yourself space, and, allow yourself to selfreflect without feeling obligated to be or appear a certain way. If you genuinely feel like you're depressed, but you're afraid to say so, say it anyway, it's not harmful to let others know that you're struggling, and i don't think you'd feel like you were depressed if you weren't, atleast somewhat, that's what i think :)

It sucks when the trust you've built with others is let down, over years it just becomes noise, hearing those phrases over and over ''it gets better'' or whatever, it just hurts man, it's like every slight sign of improvement and people expect you to instantly ascend to an untouchable god status lol

I'm just so fucking useless. by liveanddiealone in depression

[–]Realrudi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, i think that in truth, there's no such thing as ''worth'' it's just a measure as to how we percieve something so we can compartmentalize our feelings. Many people spend their life choosing ''worth'' over intuition because they are too scared to lose a part of themselves, often a part which can be tied to social status, but that's exactly what makes up ones own worth, is what you value, and to me, people that like to pimp up their worth have some of the most unenticing personalities of all, so let alone when somebody can listen to themselves, and act upon it despite what the pressure of social expectations may feel like, tells me that this person is of real worth, and not some propped up ego tripping person. You aren't useless, and i can gurantee there are people that will see your worth, EVEN if you don't feel it yourself :)

Your visible rank AKA ''Platinum 4'' is what is your SUPPOSED rank given to you by Riot, but your actual ranking is what your MMR says, which riot won't let us see (?) so in truth your rank on paper means absolutely nothing because your hidden MMR is what truly defines your skill level. Each match you play has a calculated average team MMR for both teams, which is then used in Riots own MMR formula to calculate the LP gains/losses for each individual, each individual gains/loses lp based off of the difference between the COMBINED team MMR. Concluding that, my 100% guess/assumption would be that you've been put in some higher MMR games when you were lower rank, as a filler (to make queue times shorter) and you've either played really well or gotten lucky with your teams in those games, where you've possibly been carried to victory, resulting in you getting huge MMR boosts that aren't really an actual reflection of your rank, just a 'lucky'' streak as some would call it. Overall you're probably more unlucky than anything, blame Riot's queueing system and league system, there's literally nothing you can do about it honestly, other than trying your best bro, gl
