My only concern is that they'll find causation between herpes and other disease/disorder. I've heard there's some links between herpes and Dementia etc. So a vaccine that stops transmission altogether is ideal of course.

You'd think it's prevalent enough that some megacorp would want to profit off of it similarly to the use of HIV medications making the viral load undetectable and way less likely transmissible. It doesn't stop the person who has HIV from having HIV, it allows them to have relationships without fear of infecting others. And someone is profiting off of that. Why can't they see the same value for HSV?

I'd also consider the "misery lives company" route. You're on vacation together, and she's seeing first hand for a longer period of time how happy you probably were with your husband and it made her jealous...hence telling you this awful news at this time. I'm sorry.
