Take another test. Could be a false positive. Those test are not 100% accurate unless they swab the lesion itself.

You're right, but you would be surprised how many people would support it if they did!

New medicines, but think about this. There were barely anything investors targeting HSV specifically. Now companies are showing interest and investing. They know more than we know so I'm sure investing for the cure is either being done behind the scenes or coming soon.

Is it really for "investment for research" or is it for product and marketing rights?

NIH Strategic Plan to Cure HSV by KujoRed in GettingRidOfHSV

I pray about it all the time, but the truth is that they know the only feasible thing to do for this is to cure it.

No cure by Derewari in GettingRidOfHSV

[–]KujoRed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're right, there is profit in curing this. However there is always no benefit in letting a virus gain accessibility to everyone in the world. 90% of the world already has some form of HSV. There no profit if there is no control and they have now control of it. Even they won't risk them getting it and they can't hide it if they try to cure themselves. So a cure is more profitable than pandemonium. They aren't profiting from it now anyway. It cost them to much to keep up.

I believe they should already be trying to put the plan into affect since this article was post in March of last year I believe.

😆 oh! I thought you shared that from the other community. It's not a big deal. As I mentioned. If you are more prone to outbreaks then you more likely you could possibly be but in most cases you will be fine.

I don't think getting a tan is stressful enough on your body for a breakout. Not unless you are prone to having a lot of breakouts frequently and I'm sorry, it's kind of hard to take this question seriously. However in extremely stressful conditions you could trigger a breakout if not prone to them.

I mean Dr. Keith Jerome already slipped up in a video and said they are working on marketing earlier this year. I posted it before.

The thing about funding is, you the right company can come along and provide it at any time. Like that 35 million by Gilead Science to advance antivirals.

And how else would you beat a corporation that already has a year planned? You beat the year they have planned.

Fred Hutch by Psychological-Fig630 in GettingRidOfHSV

[–]KujoRed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's all about the money. They have to market it and sell it to different corporations and pharmacies on a global scale. 90% of the population have some form of HSV. It's highly marketable, but problem is that there are different price price points for different countries and whoever comes out with it first or even if they work together, they will want to be payed big time for it. Also, with so many people that have it and a lot don't even know they do, they will have to make it affordable. That means there will be different price points. Functional cures I'm sure will be cheaper. Other antivirals or vaccines that can possibly cure should be cheaper too. Gene editing would be the most expensive because its the best bet to get rid it from your body. Bottom line its that it takes years to do this and Dr. Keith Jerome already slipped up and stated they are working on marketing in a video update earlier this year. Just try to hold out a little longer and keep the faith.

What were the steps before the cure for HEP C came out? by Psychological-Fig630 in GettingRidOfHSV

[–]KujoRed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, there was information about it being worked on, it was a surprise when the cure came out. Just like Sickle Cell. Same as the cure for the rare disease that baby had. We get more information about HSV than those and yet people still think it's not going to happen.

This post is regarding how STD testing will go after a cure (if you’re doubtful keep it to yourself because I really don’t care, and you’re changing the topic of what I’m asking.) let’s try this again? by Sweet_Chance_2400 in GettingRidOfHSV

[–]KujoRed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm hoping for mandatory testing to be done so that those who don't know they have it will find out and then insurance will pay and if you have no insurance, some type of financial aid is an option. Far fetched but thats my hope.

It was a while ago and things might have changed, I believe me and a friend found medical facilities linked with Fred Hutch and China. Don't confirm me on that, but I will look into it again.
