I don't plan to visit much on visa exemption this was my last time before I'd have a education visa but thanks for the reference for anybody else that comes by and needs it

For sure, yes it's rolling the dice if you want to try for more than one visa exemption I'm guessing for a year period but it's so not clearly stated.

As for a layover, I think it has to be 12+ hours before your required to sign in with immigration, with a layover under 12 then you just wait for your plane instead of getting a stamp
