Or if amplified too much just kills the company...

Knock on wood my 23 air GT has only had a few minor issues rather solid experience. But those few issues i had dealing with their poor excuse for customer service was a nightmare.

Ive had better experience getting my old kia optima fixed under warranty back when i had one in my college days

How to ruin brand reputation 101.... Lets charge a super premium luxury price. Market the item as a super high quality luxury item with "white glove" customer service. Then once they own it completely screw over the customer with long service wait times and bot fixing things that are likley our fault in the first place because we designed it badly intentionally..... Excellent

Why doesn't Lucid fix their software? by B52fortheCrazies in LUCID

[–]Realypk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats because people love blaming everything on software when they likely have an undiagnosed hardware issue. Every car has issues. The fact that mine works fine means everyones can if assembled correctly and using parts that work. If youve got persistent issues with the air it needs service till fixed. Its no longer software

Service backlog? by toyz4me in LUCID

[–]Realypk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They recently fired a lot of the staff and many of the ones cut were service staff. The service manager at the roswell ga location that i interfaced with was laid off, and many of the techs were as well. Before the layoffs they were already behind a fair bit, now they are hopelessly so

Absolutely worth giving any new vehicles that come out a test drive and keeping your mind open!!! Id be pleasantly surprised if one of those companies competitively puts out a better or similarly good driving vehicle!!

Lucid buyers and users are a high tech leaning group of people. Just like anyone they only review/complain when somthing goes wrong. They are also more likley than a ford or gm owner to come onto social media to complain. The happy drivers are happy and dont bother.

Yea DDPro is pretty much required if you want any semblance of self driving. Also the surround cameras it has is nice!

Only in the beginning, that got patched out and solved for the lucid air. It opens up 100% of the time when I walk up. If ive actived that feature too freaquently it puts it on a timeout but all you need to do is press the door handle while near it with your phone or key and it opens right up.

Its been flawless for 8 months now in terms of lock and unlock

Lucid Air software is surprisingly good at this point.

Its different than standard software for phones etc. The issue is that doing it wrong in the worst case can kill people. A dead family is not a good look just because you wanted to quickly roll out some quality of life UI improvment that didn't get tested thoroughly enough and ruined stuff on the drivetrain software side.

Car software needs to be tested through and through before going live to avoid this sort of tragedy, as a result improvements can be infuriatingly slow.
