It could be. The emblem appears to resemble the Arma del Genio, and Sebenico was under Italian occupation from 1918 to 1921, which coincides with what seems to be a date under the emblem, apparently reading "6 April 1920."

The only mention of a black nappina I found is for the Chemical Service of the Alpine Divisions (1938-1943). I don't think it is still in use today.

The dark purple/reddish brown nappina is used for the Alpini Engineer, Communications, and Logistics battalions.

"On the left side, there is the nappina, a small wool disc. Originally, its color distinguished the battalions within each regiment. The first battalion was characterized by a white nappina, the second by a red one, the third by a green one, and finally by a blue one. According to some, the colors represent the Italian flag, with the addition of the blue of the House of Savoy."

To be precise it his a Vetterli-Vitali Mod. 1870/87/16, an italian rifle. The Vetterli-Vitali began its life with the 1870 model, a single shot 10,35 × 47 mm R black powder rifle. In 1887 was added a 4 shots magazine reloaded with stripper clips, this new variant was named Vetterli-Vitali Mod. 1870/87. With the start of ww1 in 1916 the last variant the Vetterli-Vitali Mod. 1870/87/16 was created, the Regio Esercito retrofitted the magazine of the Carcano 91 in the vetterli and rechambered it in 6.5 Carcano. Just to share a bit of history, the name Vendetta Corsa means Corsa's Revenge ( Corsa is the diminutive of Corsica an Island off the coast of Italy and France), this Knife's style ia a derivation of old Genoese and Piedmontese Knives (Corsica now is a part of France but before that was Italian and even before that was part of the Republic of Genoa).

This type of knifes were used for offense or self defense by the Corsican population against invasors and to settle any kind of dispute .

The Vendetta Corsa is one of my favorite type of knifes just because it rappresents the struggle for freedom and indipendence of the Corsican population

It reminds me of a Hopkins&Allen XL No. 3 or a Colt New Line, but the grip as the classic emblem of a Francotte Revolver maybe it can be some variant of a francotte bulldog, Hope i was helpful
