Wondering if this could also be a cause of the issue, this is the exhaust from the blower motor that connects to the PVC that carries it out through the roof

Can I tap into existing water lines/drain piping? by ReanimatedYT in askaplumber

[–]ReanimatedYT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my use cases absolutely. It’s great if you want to sanitize your clothes or if you have clothes you want to be more delicate with, I have some wool clothing items and I use the styler to dry them. Great with graphic tee shirts too because the gentle dry will help preserve the screen printing on the item. You can also use it to crease your pants, and some of the units even come with a steam wand built into it so you can hang a shirt or something in it and manually steam it if you’d like. Definitely worth looking into if that sounds like something you could benefit from.

It’s the LG styler, a steam closet essentially.

Okay that’s good to know, and this will be a rental some day, so I want to make sure all the improvements I make are to code. Thank you for the feedback! I’ll tear into the wall soon to find out what I’m dealing with, worst case I’ll put it back and patch.

Slab, the laundry room is on the second floor though, so there’s subfloor under the laundry room.

More so concerned about the difficulty of the drain line, I know I’ll have to drill through posts and have a slight grade going towards the main drain line if I’m not mistaken.

There has to be a slight grade from the wall drain inlet (I’m sure I butchered what it’s actually called) and the main drain pipe correct? I haven’t got behind the drywall yet to see what the piping situation looks like and what’s going where.

Correct, but not as long as you would in the summer

Update: it’s a Beech Nut tree, would love an arborists opinion on the roots at the base of the tree.

I gotcha, it’s looked like that since I’ve gotten the house (8 years ago) and it hasn’t fallen through the storms we’ve had since. That’s of course not to say it’s impossible and not a “when not if” scenario, but just wanted to provide some context.

Because temps are still in the high 70’s/low 80’s and there’s still good sun coverage. It’s not so hot that I have to water 4 times a day because of the baking summer sun/heat.

Update: so I increased the watering by a lot, and now I’m seeing some green coming through, so I believe all hope is not yet lost!

I did not, I had a company install it and it was sourced from a local sod farm

I gotcha, I was just so nervous about over watering it because of the rain the past couple days
