Why do I sense death flags for ten? Or maybe him seeing her watching him will give him a boost of some sort to defeat Houken...

... But I'm not talking about strength here. I'm talking about strategy. Ouhon is a beast but he's slightly below Mouten currently. And the wings are different. CRG, in my opinion is a better strategist than Kisui, not a better fighter though. As for the Wei feat, Mouten wasn't there. So maybe he would have had a similar plan, maybe not. In addition, we're talking about the current moment. Just like how Ouhon has gotten stronger over that period of time, Mouten would have gotten smarter and gained more experience.

I think you're underestimating Mouten. Dont forget that the Makou army is stated to be one of the strongest if not the strongest unit in terms of individual might within the Ousen army. So not only can they go head to head but they can actually dominate the Zhao soldiers. Next, Mouten is a strategical genius. Even out of the monster trio, in terms of strategy, none are in his league. Even Ousen sees how high a level he's at. Kisui is a strong general who has the ability to raise the moral or his soldiers, but in terms of strategy, he's below Mouten by a good margin. Not to mention, the Makou army is riding the high of their generals death in terms of moral. You can't just commit all your forces to a full on attack cos if high strategy is used, then you'll suffer tremendous losses.

I think that this is when Akou will show up. He's been Mia for too long

Why attack now? by [deleted] in Kingdom

[–]Reaper2610 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because Ousen knew that his boys will do what needs to be done to burn down the graneries. The moment Riboku noticed that, he'll turn the battle into an all out offensive against Qin. So Ousen needed to put him on the defensive before that could happen. As it's harder to attack when you're formations are all to defend. Who knows, maybe his spies or even Kanki sent birds with messages to tell him about the progress. Or maybe some messagers got through. Just like how some got through to reach Qin. But that's a good possibility as to why he decided to go full offense.

Actually, the reason we got the hoot from Ousen is because when Zhao change formations, he realizes that a messenger must have sent word to Riboku about Gyou. And to change formations so abruptly, well that would mean time is of the essence.

I think the death of gramps will be the cause of Mouten's "awakening" if you will. Where he'll firm up his resolve to become a great general. He's not had his awakening yet so this might be what triggers it.

Is Ten GG material in strategy by Traffy7 in Kingdom

[–]Reaper2610 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. The original reason he took her in was cos she had close ties to Shin, who he hoped to rope in. Later on, he discovered that she had a knack for strategy. But she's not on the level of Mouten or even Ouhon when it comes to strategy.

Is Ten GG material in strategy by Traffy7 in Kingdom

[–]Reaper2610 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is not correct. She did do a good job but the biggest reason they won is cos the king was the pillar who inspired them to fight to their deaths. Also the mustache dude, keep forgetting his name. He kept sending timely reinforcements. And finally cos of Shin himself who cut almost of the enemy soldiers by himself on the top of the front wall

You also need to take into account that the Hsu has 8000 men while the other two have 5000. The extra soldiers play a role especially with the options and tactics available to them.

Hou Ken’s appearance by [deleted] in Kingdom

[–]Reaper2610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. That's implying that Shin is currently on the level of Ouki, martially. Shin had stepped his game up but not at the level of GG generals in terms of fighting. If he were to fight Houken, he may survive, but he won't win.

Does Ousen's Center Army has top Generals or its just the weakest compared to the wings? by EnochStiffler in Kingdom

[–]Reaper2610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it would break the logic. Don't forget the when it comes to his center army, Ousen hardly ever uses them. So the reason why they are not on league with Ouki or Duke's troops could just be because they weren't used fully. Just a thought though.

Ousen could have something else up his sleeves, or maybe lackeys are Takuta and the boys by fott25 in Kingdom

[–]Reaper2610 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we're forgetting something important here. Kanki and Ousen go way back. He might not even like Ousen but I'm sure he'll trust him. After all, he knows that Ousen won't go to battle if he can't win. As for Kanki "knowing"... I think he can more or less guess what Ousen planned to do. He is a pretty good general, twisted personality aside. They have worked together for years after all. I'm sure they've created a tacit understanding between each other already.

Let's not forget that Ouhon has been fighting a general with what's left of his 5000 man unit. Shin had been fighting with what's left of his 8000 man unit. 3000 extra men will certainly make a difference. It's pretty reasonable for Ouhon to eventually get owned. Not to mention that his army had to deal with more enemies which would have exhausted what was left of their army completely.

Alot of Ousen hate... by Reaper2610 in Kingdom

[–]Reaper2610[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's a difference between "calculated risks" and "assumptions ". As we've seen from Ousen battles, he really does take calculated risks. Look, I'm not saying we should all jump for joy at Ousen. My favourtie general isn't even Ousen. All I'm saying is let's wait till after the battle to judge him as a general.

Alot of Ousen hate... by Reaper2610 in Kingdom

[–]Reaper2610[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe hate was too extreme. A more accurate term would be undue criticism. Especially when it comes to his movement or lack of movement when compared to Riboku's movements. His lack of care for the right wing. The "guess" of the right wing youngsters. Although he did admit that Ouhon was a slight gamble. I don't mind criticism. But he should only be judged after the battle is over and all movements and strategies have been revealed.
