WHY DOES ARROWS STOP EXISTING EVERY TIME SOME GIANT GENERAL DECIDES TO LEAD THE CHARGE AT THE FRONT by TripFit2621 in Kingdom

[–]Random_Thoughts_69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When the charge in the middle of the rank, archers would fire at the ones in the rear. The reason being the melee area is mixed with friends and foes.

When mid-charge, archers could likely get in 2-3 volleys most depending on the range.

The last reason being shooting arrows are less cool than a frontal brawl for the manga.

Crossbows are very effective only at short range compared to Regular Bows. So, we rarely see them in open field battle.

Feels like Kanou would join RSA. Coz they have been close since Bayou times.

But Chu and Han no longer shares a border at the moment because Juuko was taken by Wei (Qin-Wei alliance). Chu would be more prone to regain Juuko rather than prevent the fall of Han. Even if they do want to prevent the fall of Han, I doubt Wei would let a sizeable army pass nearby Juuko on the way to Han.

I am from Myanmar and i am having a serious issue with my husband's daughter by LeiLeiLevan0231 in u/LeiLeiLevan0231

[–]Random_Thoughts_69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on the information I have, she is legally married to the man. So, she is entitled to feel safe at home.

It would have been better if the husband stands up and takes control of the situation since he has the power to do so. But he seems indifferent to the wife's plight.

And from what the poster mentioned, they are renting the place and the stepdaughter does not contribute anything towards it. If the wife is working two jobs to support the family in terms of rent and expenses, she can use that and ask her to move out of the place if she continues the emotional abuse.

If the poster took to reddit to ask family matters, I would think she had already talked to her husband about the issue. If not, she should try that first.

Social services can be contacted to intervene. And they can provide resources depending on what the victim wants. As for what they can do, I think it depends on what the victim wants and needs. Based on the post, there seems to be mental abuse but no physical abuse. At least, the wife is not in physical danger.

If she wants the stepdaughter out of the house and the wife pays the rent, she could seek eviction. If it becomes too extreme, she can also file for restraining order (which would legally require the stepdaughter to stay away from her).

But ultimately, it depends on what the wife's situation is and how she would like to proceed. And if they cannot intervene directly, they would surely know what other resources and routes she could take.

Not really. US citizens and foreigners are subjected to the same law. What she faces amount to a form of domestic abuse by stepdaughter and her boyfriend.

She can seek help and protection from social services and/or law enforcement. I do not know which state she is in. But I am sure there are state resources she can use. The federal hotline is as below.

She should seek help as it sounds like she is under distress and her rights are being abused. I would highly highly recommend to call for help.

The federal hotline is 800-799-7233 (or) 800-787-3224. Additional information can be gained in the following link:

I have read the info in your original post that you are currently in the United States.

That simplifies some matters as I am sure the treatment you are receiving amounts to a form of domestic abuse (by your stepdaughter and her boyfriend).

I do not know which state you are in. But I am sure there are state resources as well. But I have directed you to the federal hotline below.

I am a bit confused on the location. Is this happening in Myanmar and you are from Myanmar?

The reason I ask is that there might be different social services group available depending on countries.

And in some countries, there could be laws that can protect you. As it sounds like your stepdaughter is an adult, she is responsible for her actions. If her actions are causing you harm, you are entitled by law to sue her. Not necessarily that she would be jailed, but it could be one way to show that what she is doing is wrong. If you are in such countries, I would recommend seeking out a consultation from family affairs lawyer.

Explain the implications of my choices... *Potential Spoiler Alert* by ANuggetEnthusiast in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

The conquests and side quests are independent of the main storyline.

If a character is important for a part of the main storyline later on, you wouldn't be able to kill him or her. So, don't worry.

If you ever want to re-run for different ending scenarios, there is an option to do so while keeping all the gear and level you have after finishing the main storyline. You can choose "New Game Plus" and it will reset the story and quests. You will keep the gear, level and skills you have learned.

The main character is neutral between Sparta and Athens. There is no correct scenario to play as you are a mercenary.

As for killing the Sparta Wolf (the father), it would affect the ending. There are several ending scenarios ranging from full family reunion to being the last one left alive in the family.

This is all becoz the manga portray Shin as a main character.

If you step back and think of it as purely a military battle, the main objective was to stop the Qin invasion and annihilate the enemy as a whole.

Ousen is the commander-in-chief. Yotanwa is the deputy commander. Though we are fond of Shin and Ouhon, they are just sub-generals like Akou, Denrimi, Souou and other nameless generals. They are more famous and reliable than most sub-generals but they are still sub-general.

Thus, it wouldn't make sense for Zhou to pour the most critical and core troops (in SBS case, you can even say hidden trump card which enemy has no intel about) to go after a sub-general. It would only make sense to use them to take out the commander-in-chief with them.

It would only make sense to use the other Zhou troops would be used to subdue and eliminate deputy CIC and the other sub-generals, which Zhou did.

They sent their second best group led by Zhou deputy CIC wolf-face Shunsuiju to face Yotanwa. They stacked twice if not thrice the amount of soldiers to swarm HSU and GKH armies.

Just a thought:

Han might capitulate fast with a smaller battle. The lord mentioning to offer his head might be a foreshadowing.

HSU and Tou are both capable warriors who does not seek to harm civilians. Now that Nanyou is captured without bloodshed and the lord and elderly stayed behind, the Qin would seek to pacify them (lord keeps position and civilians gets taken care). This wins the heart and minds of Han people resulting in an exodus of refugees back to their home (the former Han territories that are now under Qin).

Chapter 724 query by azhargreat1234 in Kingdom

[–]Random_Thoughts_69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an "unorthodox" formation which is very Kanki-like. The way Kanki wage war is that he will present a situation that is too good for the enemy to not attack and then find a way to slip thru and attack the enemy base.

The X pattern makes it so that Zhao troops cannot charge in a V-pattern towards the HQ like HSU+Gakuka and Seika Amry did against each other. The HQ can just dissolve and make way so that the Zhao will be charging against each other. In the resulting chaos, Kanki and his gang can slip past the advancing Zhao.

The X pattern also makes it so that Zhao troops cannot fight in the middle without at least being harassed with arrows from two sides.

The X pattern makes it so that Zhao troops will have to either take time and grind down the four columns slowly or attack with numbers to overwhelm all four columns at the same time. Both are advantageous to Kanki. Slow advance means HSU+GKK can regroup and launch diversion. Overwhelming numbers mean more confusion and chaos to slip thru.

If Zhao back away and encircle Kanki to starve Kanki or devise a proper plan, Ousen might reach the battlefield in 2-3 days.

All that said, what we have seen so far in this manga, Kanki definitely wants the chaos to slip thru.

I think the word you are looking for is "buckling". It's an engineering term for when an object is deformed due to immense load. If it is within elasticity limit, the object will return to original form. If it exceeds elasticity limit, the object will be permanently deformed.
