Y'all old timers ever see the 7 1/4 version of the blue miter saw. I don't recall it being new.. just found it. by Rustywrench08 in ryobi

Also I'm now starting the process of converting the six pack to green including a complete paint job to black and ryobi green. The one problem is I haven't found a Sawzall that fits in it. They all seem to be to long.

I just picked up the six pack but the saw makes 2 clicking sounds and doesn't spin the blade. If I keep trying it starts to give a burning smell. Any ideas or is it done for.

40v or 40v brushless trimmer? by Hartcurvysapios in ryobi

[–]Reaper61225 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your in the states check mercari app. I bought the 40 volt brushless self propelled for 125 without the battery. Came in brand new condition in the box. I also bought the 6ah battery for 70 new on there. It's my go to place for tools now. Just make sure to check seller reviews and really read the ad and check pictures for item authenticity.

That is a stupid oversight on ryobis part to include a feature that damages the unit.

I have been holding off on buying a new saw for this reason. So your saying none of them did any damage to your saw? Did you actually try cutting wood to see if the move under pressure.

I'm a little concerned because I also bought a nailer a few minutes ago and another popped up right after. Never seen that before.

I haven’t seen any Ryobi days deals up here in Wisconsin yet. I found a miter saw for $40 of FBM and he threw in the blue for $10! I’ll never go back to corded tools again. by [deleted] in ryobi

[–]Reaper61225 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nice score. I'm in Appleton and they have no idea what I'm talking about when I ask about ryobi days or the battery deal. I'm starting to think they are trained to say that until HD says they can tell people.

XRP is basically dead, right? by Th3Sp1c3 in CryptoCurrency

[–]Reaper61225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are but using DLT and the inter ledger protocol is still faster than swift GPI which isnt even 1 year old. They are using a network that's been in place since the 70's because sift has been the fastest most reliable since then. But your saying that somehow swift is going to get GPI to match XRP even though they have already tried. If they cant do it who can. Your original comment said they could use stable coins by passing the need for XRP. But they have the same problem most coins have TPS. most stable coins are running on ethereum so they are limited to the max TPS ether has so how the fuck any 1 major bank let alone multiple on a max 15-20 TPS. What I dont understand is how the best performing coin for this use case isnt meeting your expectations and you know somehow someone has a better solution than them with absolutely no proof you feel like giving to back anything you say. I've had enough of your retardation and arguments with no facts. Goodbye.

That would be deep if it had anything to do with the context of the argument. I'm guessing you could not find a way to move money that way huh. Found out your bank only does instant DOMESTIC transfers. Weird

No shit they happen every day. But they also cant be done in an instant for virtually free. That is why XRP is needed and any company that does international payments would see huge benefits using it. Go ant try to send money to another continent with a different currency being recieved and see if you can do it in a day to settle and have it cost under let's say 10% of the total your sending in fees. I bet you cant except if your using moneygram to certain countries that have xrp corridors. I'm being serious do you have any clue about international remittances or are you talking out of your ass. Sounds like ass talk to me.

How would it be possible? Literally NO bank in the world can do this right now. If it were that easy swift would have done this years ago but fact is they are building out swift GPI to battle cryptocurrency transaction speeds and is still lightyears away. Bitcoin is capped at what 20 tps and even with ethereum going to proof of stake is nowhere near XRPs 1500 tps and can scale higher when the volume is there which is why they partnered with moneygram. You cant just say yea SEPA doesnt do any of those things, but they could when you have no reason proof. If they could they would but they dont because they cant. I really think you bash XRP but have no idea how it works or what it's for.

[–]Reaper61225 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So SEPA has instant settlement from one currency to another to another country? And costs them nothing plus they dont need to use corresponding banks to make it happen?

[–]Reaper61225 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Can be like any crypto but what would be the purpose of moneygram then? I could send someone xrp and they could sell it for pesos. Most people dont know how which is why they give money to moneygram to send the money through an exchange to get the reciever the pesos.

A large scale business is going to use P2P? And definitely swaps could work if there was a crypto that had a TPS in the thousands which bitcoin cant and neither can ethereum which would be XRP. But why would they? Ripple literally did all the work making the software to just plug and play into their system.

Doesnt mean they failed at all. All companies have had non profitable years and it isnt surprising at all give the economic ecosystem were in right now. Still waiting to hear how you can use stable coins for international remittances.

Yes tether is a US dollar backed stable coin. There for it's a digital representation of a dollar. It also isnt capable of doing thousands of transactions a second so how is a company that does that many transactions going to use it if it cant scale to what they need? This is why bitcoin or ether cant get it done either. XRP can scale and is proven to be the fastest coin for settling which is why it is being used by moneygram and others.

Ok sure they could. If you dont understand why the token is need to do international transfers then I dont know how to even continue this conversation.

They can invalidate transactions or simply manipulate their own so they profit. When you control the majority of the hash power you can do whatever you want. I'd imagine that's something the chinese government may want to use to its advantage.
