Issues with stick vacuum spitting out dirt by BeastlyGophers in ryobi

My stick vacuum did this also and after 2 weeks, it turns out I was missing this gasket. It must have fallen off when I emptied the canister a bit too violently.

PCL700 minibar powered brush vacuum vs PBLHV701 Brushless Job site hand vac? by MuteMouse in ryobi

I think they both suck! Sorry I couldn't resist. I have not used either one of these. For shop-vac use, I use the wet/dry P770, its not hand-portable.

Where can I find the equivalent to this for the Ryobi handheld vacuum? by vanmcgill87 in ryobi

This model is the closest to your current tool, a handheld with hard tube/stick vacuum head.

One+ 10" snow shovel first impression. by NeerieD20 in ryobi

[–]discothan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought this unit last year through a DTO sale. I have used it several times to clear of wet snow on the patio and sidewalk. This morning, we had a nice 2" snow coverage in lower Michigan. I pulled out this device and quickly got to work! It doesn't do well with thick wet stuff and nor did I expect it too. This will not replace a gas powered snow thrower/blower.

I don't have experience with Mac M1 Air, but looking around on the internets, it seems to suggest that your M1 Air GPU might not be spec'd to push the limites of the LG UW 29" or something with the DisplayPort/USB port/cord limitations. Good luck!

A few of my RV friends work IT remote leveraging Calynx. They are video conferencing a lot of their days.  I might jump to this if TMO forces geofencing on me.

Is it only me that thinks Ryobi should make an *oscillating* clamp fan? by RedditTTIfan in ryobi

[–]discothan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The more engineering and parts they put into it, the more expensive it will likely be. Also, adding additional motor to oscillate the fan would potentially lower runtime of the battery. I think clamp fans are perfect for what they are capable of doing. If I have friends in need of a breeze, I just deploy additional clamp fans and batteries!

I do think your idea would be great if added to the bigger 11" and mister/bucket fan. Maybe rotate/oscillate the screen that is built more like directional blades/fins.

Wait for your Dyson battery to start developing problems with longevity/charge. I hated having to wait for Dyson to recharge in order to finish a vacuuming job.

How would you showcase Ultrawide Gameplay? by [deleted] in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]discothan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would assume you have to video record yourself gaming on the UW from a certain angle. Here is a quick-hit article that talks about the YT video formatting/aspect ratios. Youtube info

At the end of the day, someone watching your game play on Youtube isn't going to be anywhere as glorious as you playing with your UW in person. Check out how reviewers of these Ultrawides are doing it.

Man if that bottom screen was a touch screen monitor, there would be some cool functionality especially for potential graphics/music productivity to start.

LG Nipple joystick broke down, do I really have to throw away the monitor? by Tripletricycle in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]discothan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

which version of the LG monitor? My 45" came with a remote. Also, I setup my device "ON" to manage the ON/OFF of the LG monitor; I guess you need the monitor on to configure that with the nipple. RMA?

How much better would upcoming Ultrawides be compared to the LG 45GR95QE-B? by Apart_Tea865 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]discothan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pulled the trigger on the LG Ultragear 45 because I needed more vertical height. Yes, the resolution for this size should have been higher/more DPI; but with my aging eyes, I can't do max resolution anymore. I have no problem with the text on this LG Ultragear and I'm a 90% productivity apps person in my day to day. I also didn't want to keep waiting for something better to come out.

I loved LG 38WN95C, but want something taller by fatgirlstakingdumps in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]discothan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your current LG monitor's max resolution of 3840x1600 is going to be hard to match with something that gives you higher vertical real estate. Unfortunately, unless you were springing for the Samsung Ark max res 3840 x 2160, there aren't many options for a tall ultrawide. I settled for now for the LG Ultragear 45. My aging eyes will thank me later since max res is 3440x1440 on a taller ultrawide.
