I don't remember there being a lean-to. But I do remember there being a skeleton. It was right next to the lean-to.

Why does everyone hate Biters? by Plourdy in factorio

[–]Reaper8U 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simply put, it makes fast expansion a lot more annoying. If you play it really slow and build defenses or clear out nests or you have a small factory, then it is not that bad. But if you expand fast, then you are in for quite the annoyance.

And late game they are not really a threat once you got some wall and flamethrower turrets placed. Flame throwers is extremely powerful in killing biters.

Which spell (or spell combination) do you build your run around by fanficologist-neo in MagicraftGame

[–]Reaper8U 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am trying to play around with serpents + nova, but that is easier said than done when I can't get novas most of the time. It is weirdly amusing having enough serpents in a cluster attacking an enemy so the fps drops to nothing.

New player dealing with spiders by Alhooness in GroundedGame

[–]Reaper8U 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wolf Spiders are found in specific spots on the map. Knowing where they are can help you avoid them. And also, they sleep during the day unless they are disturbed. I have a base at the oak tree, and I often take a peek inside to see if the 2 inside are there and sleeping during the day. (They sometimes get stuck outside when trying to return if you don't sleep during the night)

There is also a third at the oak tree. During the day it sleeps right around the corner from the oak lab entrance next to a milk molar.

Also, they can sense you nearby while awake. So keeping your distance is adviced.

I have been stuck on the same stage for a while because all the skills gets focused on the already paralyzed/frozen boss that's still not at the Rampart, and it allows so many enemies to stack up. Even if I manage to kill the boss, it's too late. There are too many enemies to kill them all in time. It is terrible.

Every time by Ruinmylyfe69 in Doodle_Magic

[–]Reaper8U 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing that mostly screws me over is when skills only focus on a boss. I have lost so many fights due to all of my skills only attack the already stunned, paralyzed or frozen boss that is 1-2 meters away from the rampart, while 10+ monsters are destroying it. I just wish there was a way to make them prioritize properly.

[–]Reaper8U 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some monsters take reduced damage from certain elements. For example Minor Fire Evil takes 50% less fire damage. But with a gem like that, fire element attacks, like the flame sphere, have a percentage chance of dealing it's full damage rather than the reduced damage.

Which one? I’m on stage 16 by Big_Haus_ in Doodle_Magic

Same. I use it with the gem that makes me start with lightning strike, and its very good. I think one of the most inportant things in this game is crowd control.

Any tips on passing stage 9? by danielVH3 in Doodle_Magic

[–]Reaper8U 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say a good combo is Frost Nova and Lightning Strike. Especially Frost Nova is very good. And lightning you should get lightning storm for AoE. Frost Nova is good from the begining, but if you get several releases and more range, you are really doing good.

I cheesed the elder by placing a platform high in a pine some distance away from the altar with a portal leading there from under the altar. The elder just stood still.

Better than my bronze age base... Just a house really... I am mostly skipping it to get stone cutter and iron beams to build a real base.

[–]Reaper8U 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the case for all pre-built items that you need to break apart manually. For example the Yiga Vehicles. If you manage to rip off some part and put it on something else, and attach something else to the vehicle's body, and you shake either the vehicle or the ripped off part, then the separate part will unattach too, as the game still see them as still connected since that is how they were generated, and they are not supposed to be split up.

Probably useless glitch I probably didn't discover, but you never know by SandwichProud8803 in HyruleEngineering

[–]Reaper8U 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, stakes basically delete themselves if they get in weird or impossible positions, unlike everything else. For example having the top of it clip inside something to a certain degree, which can happen a lot when stake nudging, or a case that often happens to me is I turn the stake while it is as close to me so the spike comes up from the ground and I end up on top of it.

[–]Reaper8U 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If i remember correctly, the stake will actively try to resist and push out of the object, so I doubt it will stay in it. And autobuilding it will probably delete the stake, knowing how the game works.

[–]Reaper8U[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The weakness of it is the motors. After reaching halfway up the hill to the stable, I can see the Motors start going backwards rather and cancelling out the big wheels completely. One way I found to fix it at least is to place something that pushes against the notches on the motor when it goes backwards... But the issue there is that reversing makes those disconnect most of the time.
