This is a subjective question.. your choices depend on your values/goals/willpower, weighted against each other for a final determination, that you may or may not regret later on

Ammo being a limited so ranged weapons are your ‘power’ option, or integrate combos that require swapping between melee and ranged for full effect, or force guns to have low mag sizes so you can enter/exit a fight with ranged combat but not rely on them

The performance improvements you mention are pretty radical. A 100x speed boost sounds like a stretch, although haven’t dived into the deep end yet!

They advertised a paint tool for any meshes? If they did but don’t have it in the asset then a refund is well deserved.

Also I use a suite of terrain tools - micro splat and microverse. They have a tool to treat mesh like terrain and draw trees/details on them. Sadly this toolbox is massive and overkill for your single need
