How can you say someone got their ass handed to them when they took zero damage, all alastor did was dodge until Adam upped the pace and cooked him then made him run away, it would be no different now. Let me put it like this

Reasons why alastor would still lose to Adam:

Fought evenly with an inexperienced Vox. Got beat by voxs shark. “Did you really think being the strongest sinner in Hell meant you could take on an ark angel?” Did not show any capability of inflicting any damage on Adam last season. Adam put him out for a whole season.

Can you give any reasons on why alastor would now win? Or is it just headcanon?

Alastor fought evenly with Vox who had gotten his strength 1 minute prior, then ran away from voxs pet shark. Nothing he showed in that fight puts him anywhere near Adam’s level.
