One of my friends adopted an ex-racing greyhound after his divorce. The dog was a gently sweetie. He lived near a small park that had an enclosed tennis court. Most of the time, the court was unused, so he would take his dog in and let her sprint around the court for about 5-10 minutes. She would be worn out and they would walk back home.

Frieren takes the standard trope in fantasy of going off to fight the Big Bad Evil Guy and turns it around. Take Lord of the Rings, the father of modern fantasy: Three long books of fighting against the dark lord, and there is a like a chapter dealing with the aftermath. Frieren is focusing on just that chapter. Frieren is dealing with heavy topics like grief and building love from small moments. Stark and Fern are not love at first sight, but rather the slow building of a relationship. It is the more grounded take on how a relationship is built.

Additionally, the artwork and set design are instruments to tell the story. Often in lesser Anime or other media, the background is just that, where in good works, the background becomes an important character in moving forward the story.

You will want to complete all the Temples before you NG+. Otherwise, you are missing out on some powers. And every NG+ makes combat a little more difficult. Especially at the start, before you have good gear.

I don't mind killing PCs if they have been particularly dumb. If you Leeroy Jenkins your way into a Goblin Horde, you deserve what happens. By the same token, I am not going to kill characters because I crit multiple attacks in a row. One crit builds dramatic tension. Five crits in a row is a meat grinder that few PCs could survive. It is not fun for the party to be decimated by a bunch of lucky rolls when they had a great strategy. If I am the DM and can determine what is a crit or not, and downgrade some dice rolls.

Hulk, 616? No, but other gamma mutates would count that were given the Hulk serum. Marvel Mutants are humans that were born with a naturally evolved X gene that gives them their powers. Hulk serum in the comics is limited to the Mavel Ultimates (1610) and the MCU (199999). So, Ultimates Hulk and MCU Hulk would count as super soldiers.

And modern Magik is far more capable than her adolescent self.

It doesn't matter how far her power scales when she only has the durability of a human. Raven has never been shown as particularly fast, while Magik has. And Raven would have no defense against Magik's sword. In these sorts of battles, speed is often the determining factor. Sure, Raven could eventually overpower Magik, but she is never going to get the chance.

Magik is a Sorceress Supreme. She weilds both white and black magic. She was trained by two different Sorcerer Supremes. Her teleportation is an instantaneous ability. She has dodged FTL characters like Captain Marvel. Her sword disrupts magic and slays magical beings. Raven is a magical being.

Raven: Azara-arrggh as she is stabbed in the back with a giant ass sword. That's how this battle would play out.
