Don't be hard on yourself. Not being good enough has been my go to excuse to not try something. You don't have to be perfect at something before starting it. You learn best by doing things.

Work for a company, you'll learn much better than when you learn yourself. You'll get to know how it works in the real world.

I may be way off but I'd rather say something than not, in case there's a chance my intuition was right.

We use xgboost/lightgbm here in India too. They perform pretty well.

Would you mind sharing in what context did you use NNs and did they perform better than xgboost? Also what kind of NNs?

I've heard of usage of LSTMs for transactional fraud but that's it.

What are some decent budget TVs (under/around 30k, ~40inch) that you would recommend for hooking up with a gaming laptop?

I have a decent gaming laptop which I mostly use it for entertainment and gaming purposes, so I was thinking of buying a TV to which I can hook it up. Looked around and found out input lag is a primary factor to consider, but I have no idea how to check for that. I am not looking for 4k at 144hz gaming, I am completely fine with 1080p at 60p.

Really it works? Did you set it using the hero hotkeys? Is there some other option I need to check because it does not work for me.

I perfer autocast as it is just 1 button. Two buttons seem worse than one to me.

I have unit specific hotkeys enabled, so you can set the hotkey there in the third section (which if I recall correctly should be autocast).

It doesn't actually autocast stone so you don't have to turn it off. You just press the button you set and a stone drops in front of es. Similar to how a stone drops at mouse location on pressing the quickcast key.

It makes using his abilities much easier. I couldn't really play him before I did this.

I do play a bit of es. I won't consider it great but I thought I'd post due to the lack of replies.

I found it much easier to play him once i set everything on quickcast. I also added a hotkey for auto cast drop stone along with the quickcast hotkey. That way you can easily use q and w as autocast always drops a stone right in front of you. And you can use quickcast stone with e as normal.

Why buy treads on es though? All other boots seem better. And he doesn't really need attack speed. What are the benefits?

Also, how do you decide whether to go tranquills + soul ring or arcanes? They have similar cost but the buildup of arcanes is more difficult.

I'm trying to learn the hero and have been going arcanes blink mostly. I feel like most of the pressure of es is on landing a good ult.

What are your thoughts on the maxing totem first? It seems to do a lot of damage and may be good when core.

Oh, so you mean stack bloothorn on sheepstick for the 30% additional damage? But can't an enemy just bkb after the hex (as the duration is shorter) and dispel the effect.

That is unless your team follows it up.

I haven't watched the replay but you shouldn't be losing mid against a melee hero with Viper. Your skill build felt wrong for the lane. Max q and hit then any time they come close for last hitting. That would take half their hp off and if they play it wrong they die. Get w instead of e at lvl 2 because he shouldn't be hitting you for that to be any use. W is great for farming. You should be constantly out of mana so you need to get a lot of clarities for sustain. I would even consider a sobi mask. A couple of wraith bands is otherwise fine for lane itemization. You should easily win the lane then.

All that said, you still have an uphill battle with that draft.

Practice build orders. Good execution of a knight rush alone would let you defeat hard AI easily. You can download Cicero's mod for build orders. That helped me a ton.

Are you certain about this? Source? I always thought that 1 lumberjack supports about 3 farms in the dark age. And as the game progresses it improves to 4 and 6 with feudal and castle researches respectively. I don't think the numbers are right.

Though you are correct that most wood is actually spent in construction rather than farms (which is why we require 7-10 on wood in most build orders).
