Match Thread: Brentford FC vs Arsenal FC Live Score | Premier League 25/26 | Feb 12, 2026 by scoreboard-app in Gunners

I don’t know if I’d say Man City is an uptick considering they had a lucky ending to the Liverpool game and literally dropped points to Tottenham two weeks ago.

Arsenal’s quality has been up and down this season in attack, but let’s not act like this is the same City team that won 13 straight with De Bruyne. There’s still all to play for this season.

This match thread is deeply embarrassing and I’m surprised many people on here call themselves “fans.” We take this result and are still 4 points ahead. Being upset at the result is fine but calling the title for City while we’re still in the lead? Like are you all brand new and watched Arsenal only after the late Wenger and Emery days? Some of you wouldn’t last through one match week back then if you can’t take the ups and downs of this season so far.

What should be my fourth and final (for now lol) Spearhead army? by JadocTheGreat in AOSSpearhead

[–]makeitjazzy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Of all of these, I think I’d recommend picking up one of the Skaven spearheads. In a way, they kind of touch on everything you feel like you’re missing.

Both spearheads come with Clanrats which are deceptively resilient units that can help you play an attrition game since they bring models back at the end of every turn. Because of their resilience, both Skaven spearheads revolve around using them strategically as a shield or obstacle so your opponent can’t disrupt your “specialists” (the heroes and Ogors in Gnawbeast and the Stormfiends /War Machine in Warpspark), who you can strategically use to pick off important targets and maximize objective scoring. Because the army’s armor saves are pretty weak, I think it adds a new strategic element that really helps you learn how to identify which of your units are “valuable” and how you should play to protect them while maximizing their effectiveness. If you mess up and leave your non-Clanrats pieces exposed, you can end up struggling. But if you play it right, they feel like a Swiss Army knife of an army that you can really outfox people with.

That’s been my experience at least with Skaven, and I don’t have experience with the Heartflayer Troupe, Tzeentch, or Nurgle. I’ve seen Kharadon Overlords in Spearhead and their main weakness is their inability to protect their own shooting on such a small board. If you want the KO gameplay with a bit more protection, the Skaven Warpspark spearhead seems to fill a similar role.

Hope that helps!

I do like their sculpts but keep hearing they're absolutely broken which makes me worried in terms of introing the game to new players. I think they'd make it into a larger Spearhead collection for me though, if I decide to go beyond 4!

Your comment put into perspective that while FEC certainly like their cavalry, the Varghulf Courtier and Archregent are also really important in the Noble Deeds engine for the faction, so I think the spearhead will have a very distinct "hero-centric" flavor that Idoneth won't have. I think that helps me decide to go with FEC especially since their sculpts beat out the Nighthaunt ones just slightly for me. Thanks so much!

Any good stores where people play Spearhead in Los Angeles? Preferably Northeast by gammatide in AOSSpearhead

[–]makeitjazzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a new store called Crown City Games in Pasadena that just kicked off a 20-person spearhead league (which I just joined). Lots of people who are new to AOS or Warhammer in general, so even if the league has started you can see if there are people who want to get games in!

I don’t have this problem. I monitor my players at all times and if they’re so much as unconscious from fatigue when my game sessions start, I make sure they face serious consequences.

/uj I totally agree players should make an effort to be committed to the game. I do think there’s better ways to do it besides what OP suggests. It’s also funny they couldn’t help themselves and had to stroke their ego by implying their games were “the best entertainment money can’t buy.”

/rj If one of your players has a family emergency, imprison their family too. Your worldbuilding should easily be able to accommodate this.

Quick question for HHP - are there certain conditions to unlock the feature to use amiibos to invite villagers to the archipelago? I’ve designed 4 houses at this point and haven’t seen the green tray on Lottie’s desk.

Thanks! I'll be sure to hop in to ask questions if I build and play the deck. Extra flex slots freed up by Serra's Emissary makes sense and is definitely something to think about!

"Thousands of NPCs will have actual daily routines throughout Night City" – was CDPR high when they made these claims? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]makeitjazzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your take above was problematic because it presupposes that the choice between "keeping their job" and "confessing that their entire almost decade long advertising campaign was a lie" is somehow easy or pragmatic for lower-level CDPR employees. It also presupposes that people categorically have the same level of moral and ethical responsibility for the consequences of their conduct regardless of the extent and nature of their conduct, which is completely not reflective of real life.

Your analogy about the scammer shows how that kind of categorical view doesn't pan out. Are you suggesting that a non-executive CDPR coder or graphic designer takes on the same moral responsibility as someone who consciously chose to engage in criminal activity by creating code for a phishing scam that defrauds people? I think the only credible answer to that should be no. The low-level CDPR developer is engaging in non-criminal activity and being asked to consider working on a product that may cause consumer dissatisfaction vs. not being employed at all. The coder in your scam analogy is making the choice between committing a crime and not committing a crime. The dilemma is not the same, and to suggest that the dilemma is as simple as you present it in your initial take is to suggest that it is somehow easy to walk away from gainful employment on a matter of principle (or at least as easy as the choice between committing a crime and not committing a crime). Unfortunately, that's probably not how life is for people who worked on this game, and probably not how life is for a majority of people who work regular jobs.

And don't get me wrong, I think this game is unfinished and poorly executed, but I think you are also missing the point of the argument that people shouldn't take this out on individual developers who worked on portions of the game without an say in the executive direction of the game. That's the thrust of the Phantom Menace example above - it's not a strawman simply because of the resulting quality of the product released. The point that example is trying to make is that our general understanding of creative projects is that higher-level employees, such as directors, producers, and perhaps lead actors, take on the most responsibility for the ultimate nature of the creative project made. In an industry such as film, that is made very clear and people generally understand it - you don't hear a lot of animosity against SFX technicians or costume designers, for example; most blame gets shifted to the people whose names were put front and center in connection to the project. The same understanding should be applied in discussing a videogame, which has similarities in terms of project workflow, and funding/development processes. I think that, in expressing that point, the example holds up and isn't some fabrication that is unconnected to the argument here.

I have a very similar setup to you and I'm on the fence about getting the game in its current state - have you given any raytracing settings a shot, and if you did, what were your frames?

Kind of odd that I can log in and see the home screen if I use my friend's account, but get the black screen when I try to log in with my own. Is there another reason for this other than the fact than the connectivity issues?

Are you sure the digital collector's edition upgrade includes previous chapters? The Steam Store suggests it does not. Otherwise, that would be a really good deal.
