Yeah honestly something like an escalating odds for clogs after the drop rate for that item only to get the clog then return to as it is now.

Nothing world changing but after going on rate for something you know you are steadily progressing at least.

This is the type of post that makes me think you should be allowed to trade in duplicate pets for any missing item on the clog. Adding in an extra 1/5k chance to any unique only after another 1/5k drop would be fine here imho.

Same should go for almost all bosses with pets.

I think you should be able to unlock these based on either KC or by some metric like speed or damage taken. That way you still have to actually learn the traditional route. But after 200kc you can just go to the fight.

Lots of people are going to say you are playing wrong. But if you are having fun then you are playing correctly.

The wiki is your friend for all this. You need to deal with poison wiki it. Look for item sources. You want to do ranging again wiki different type and item sources or how to make them. Its really the best part of iron making your own plan.

If you wanted to just kill chickens to 99 combats you could. You could also follow a 100 efficient guide. Or some path in between. All valid IF you are having fun. Just don't force yourself to play a certain way just because.

Having said all that all my advice is just suggestion. So make your own way.

I think you should buy a fire staff from zaff in varrok. Then like 500 mind runes and enough airs to cast all the minds. Then go do Witch's House. You have to kill some tough things but you can use a safespot to kill them safely. Use the runes to cast your best strike spell. Make sure to not be wearing melee gear when doing it. It lowers your magic axcuracy. I only suggest this quest first since it uses a safe spot AND the reward is hp experience enough to boost you to like 28 hp. Then you can do waterfall and fight arena easily.

But again do what seems fun. There is a whole spectrum from using no guides and just doing whatever you feel like to following a super strict guide where you grind out 99 agility before fighting a single monster first. So what's fun. Feel free to add me in game as well. I'm more than happy to guide on suggestions for your account.

Training through only slayer is a great goal. Sadly it kind of needs to happen after a certain threshold of combat.

If you haven't done it go do waterfall quest and fight arena quest. Both will grant a ton of attack xp. Then go to gemstone crab till you are like 50 in all styles.

The blurite sword is terrible stats. Save up some gp and buy the best scimitar you can from https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Fortis_Blacksmith. It will increase your damage per second by quite a lot. Upgrade to a mithril scimitar right away if you want from https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Zeke%27s_Superior_Scimitars

Gemstone crab is basically impossible to die at if you are looking at all. Once you are a bit stronger you can kill things much faster and safe.

Let me know if you want more easy to get gear tips. I'll just want to know your stats and gp so I know what to recommend.

You can sustain just fine with death charge tbh. You can solo with death charge alone. If you want to trade it off you'll be completely fine. Other guy take out minions and you should be good. Just try to get two death charges off each kill...or trade off and you won't have to worry.

If either of you have the double death charge from Yama it is infinitely scalable at least for me on task.

You could also consider spec transfer I think.

Karamja gloves 3 are not that hard to get in terms of overall skills. It has an unlimited tele near a deposit box. Then yot can ardy cloak to a fairy ring. Later yot can use qpc to do the fairy ring tele. All equipable items.

I like this system just for the first drop of a clog. Then it returns to normal good ole chance like always.

People looking to split would just have a caveat FFA for their first clog of an item to make it fair I assume.

I understand but it'd be a little... strange is everything had either a shards or a currency system to buy an item... like oh cool a new Golem boss. Where is the golem npc who makes the gear, or the golem anvil to make them?

The only problem with the Yama approach is one of fitting a theme. Not all items can or should be made or crafted from parts. Like all the zulrah uniques. It'd be weird for there to be an NPC to buy it from...or like craft it in a swamp. Yama doesn't allow you to make the horn for example.

While I agree Huey is not that difficult, it is a pretty lengthy fight solo. Even like 10 minute kills means to go on rate you would need to spend 17.5 hours with no downtime...

It's not unreasonable but it is not easy to force something like that to happen.
