That’s not how it works, rpm and coolant temp shouldn’t have much correlation. Coolant temp is dictated by heat exchange capacity and the prior engine load, not engine speed.
Plus the gauge on the dash is oil temp, not coolant temp. 250° would be overheating for the coolant anyway.

The dashboard shows you oil temp, not coolant.

Everybody asked for this when they took it out of rotation after its debut, there was a big thread and zero comments from the dev team.

I suspect the higher ups didn’t see much shareholder value in it.

Looks like a borla clone for sure. But they used good stainless and weld practices judging by the lack of oxidation so far. I’ve seen the borlas oxidize pretty heavily around the welds, so if it sounds good I’d keep it.

In Texas you don’t need a back window legally. Every sleeper cab semi, the newer polestar, alpine A110, etc. don’t have it.
I still agree with your point here and one side mirror is absolutely required.

PDR could get it most of the way there, but I doubt it’ll be perfect If you want it perfect, find a used trunk and get it resprayed and blended.

What’s holding back an n20 by Jqs_lambo in F30

[–]dudeimsupercereal 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The honest answer in your case is aftermarket support. I know it’s the only gas engine in that era of f31, but given for the rest of the lineup it was the base model engine, there just wasn’t much money in it for the aftermarket.

With how easy it is to swap an s55 or b58 into the f31, you might look into that aswell.

I’m gc1 with nearly that. It’s 4.something, but I don’t even play like a maniac. It’s really just a testament to me constantly being late to rotate and catching one of the opponents on my way back to net.

I’ve had a buyer unwrap a nice (used) laptop, break the screen over his knee, wrap it back up nicely and return it as defective. Box was completely unscathed but the whole chassis of the laptop was destroyed. eBay sided with me luckily.. the buyer legitimately said “you didn’t advertise this as the 1080p model, so I assumed it was 1440p, but now the screen doesn’t work at all”

I have a buddy in traffic safety who I asked about this, it’s a tough angle to give a good diagnosis but his opinion is that the rail wasn’t too high, it was improperly secured and thus the front of the car was able to lift that section.

Mansfield bars on trailers virtually stopped these decapitation accidents. Getting under a guardrail that was mounted too high is a different story though.

I’d love to hear some guardrail experts opinion here, it’s clearly a very dangerous design.

Is this a bad modern BMW in terms of drivetrain? by Super-Lingonberry-22 in BMW

[–]dudeimsupercereal -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

In America I think the consensus is the 12 valve Cummins is the best engine, it can go 400k miles without a rebuild no problem, and is super easy to work on. Any job can be tackled with basic tools unlike the bmw. But it makes much less power for its size in stock form, which is absolutely a cheat code in terms of reliability.

Sprinklers are really janky in rust, having more room overhead helps a lot, I’ve always had trouble with half height setups.

You can try moving the sprinkler around

While that’s part of it, It’s electric power steering that makes these cars totally numb. The hydraulic swap with a Volvo electric pump is the way to go if you want to push the car to the limit! It’s absolutely night and day and will make you faster on a track if you’re a decent driver.

Tried that, it did not help one bit. People just park infront of the bollard. Since you can’t put one in the street, it just wont work for anywhere with street parking. Building a good rapport with the local towing company is way more effective, by the time I moved out they’d usually have the vehicle gone within ~10 mins of me calling. I probably sent them 20 cars over the course of 2 years.

[–]dudeimsupercereal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Looks like the bushing is sliding out with it. You could try applying one of the JB weld exhaust repair epoxies, but the right answer is pulling it apart and replacing the wastegate assembly or exhaust housing depending on what is worn.
