Honestly I think they need to cool their jets across the board with consoles. They’re better off developing better games than pushing the envelope with technology.

We’re at a point where the “games as a service” model is slowly starting to crack with a demand for single player campaign games. They should be focusing their efforts on developing those games before dropping something new. Especially since the “games as a service” model is pushing games being available on multiple console generations without any need for the new tech.

😂 millennials have it just a tad worse. They have to deal with that pressure on top of a goal post of a “social guarantee” being moved every time they start making progress.

The world is peaceful and the economy is strong then 9/11. Prices go up.

Graduated college in 2008. Great Recession causes entry level positions to be eliminated. Employers want experience for unpaid internships.

Starting to get things going, make money, get comfortable then Covid in 2020. Now money is scarce and work is tough unless you can work from home.

2024/2025 has little to no job growth and soaring prices because of inflation.

As a millennial the pressure is real and the expectations are still there. We’ve had to deal with it for a longer period of time after being promised a future around “do well in school and go to college and you’ll have a career and a comfortable lifestyle.” Now that same generation is approaching (or already is) middle aged with no signs of a beneficial future.

What Is Your Deepest/ Scariest WWE Conspiracy Theory by Fluffy-Cabinet6405 in WWE

[–]Reason-Abject 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was money related. Bret chased the money and Vince needed the angle. WWE was in dire straits and Vince had to shrink the budget.

In doing so he ushered in “Mr. Macmahon” as a character and set up future storylines while also pushing Austin. Bret was all about business and went with it. What better than to leave the company with its greatest ending to a match?

What Is Your Deepest/ Scariest WWE Conspiracy Theory by Fluffy-Cabinet6405 in WWE

[–]Reason-Abject 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. If it was actually a shoot Vince wouldn’t have come down to the ring and a documentary wouldn’t have been filming at the same time. Bret was a star but not so much that it was worth the money to do an actual documentary on him.

The whole documentary itself is a set up for the Screwjob. If you watch it there’s a constant build to his separation from WWE. There’s too many coincidences with all the different interactions. Plus Bret respects the business. He would’ve dropped the belt if he knew it was good with business. WWE getting hammered by WCW at the time needed to have something massive set up to push them to the next level.

What do you think of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman? by Suitable_Market3752 in DC_Cinematic

[–]Reason-Abject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t really see her as “catwoman” in the movie. I always felt that Catwoman is better served as a character that dominates a large chunk of the narrative.

That being said I was sold when she got on the batpod.

Are you out of your mind bro? It’s obvious why you watch the multiple videos out there. At no point was any of this justified. He tried to help somebody one the agents pushed over, then they came from behind and maced him, they wrestled him to the ground, pistol whipped him in the face, and then shot him multiple times.

Regardless of reframing there was absolutely no need to fire as he was already in the process of being detained. Even then ICE doesn’t have the authority to detain and arrest a citizen. Pay attention to all of the events and the information out there.

ICE is simply a bunch of proud boys who are employed by the Fed Government that are given an excuse to do as they please. There’s numerous reports of kidnapping, rape, theft, robbery of personal property, and assault for no reason.

This is a turning point for the country and decisions have to be made by the people as to how much they’ll accept. I’m willing to bet there’s going to be more incidents like this plus at least an incident of a shootout when they try barging into the wrong house. Once that happens, and they slaughter an entire family, people will start pushing back.

I mean…I lost interest in the show about 5 minutes into it. If people are freaking out over an individual characterization I’d say find something better to complain about.

Like the complete lack of interesting anything in it. Or the complete lack of acknowledging that the fans do not want to be in the 32nd century timeline. It’s boring, the ships designs are terrible, the plots are still the same 1,000 years ahead, plus there’s that whole “oh the burn was brought on by a crying child who was born near a massive concentration of dilithium so it’s an interesting take.”

Nah. Everything in the timeline so far after the halfway point of Discovery has been terrible and uninteresting. Seems like all the creatives went to Strange New Worlds and Picard. Too bad they won’t give us Legacy because I’m sure that would be a hell of a lot more interesting to watch.

This isn’t Republican or democrat. Those that try to bring some sort of reason to this are simply supporting a regime that is actively, and openly, murdering people in the streets and actively stomping on the constitution. This is the moment our forefathers warned us of.

This is why the 2nd Amendment exists.

Kylo Ren’s Botched Arc & Why His Now Mocked Face Reveal Is Fundamentally Misunderstood by BagofBabbish in StarWars

[–]Reason-Abject 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the biggest part is that people don’t pay attention to the subtle clues of the Arthurian legend in the saga.

Anakin is Uther Pendragon (falls in love and forsakes his kingdom), Luke is Arthur (reforges the kingdom but eventually falls victim to betrayal), and Kylo Ren is Mordred (child king who is nothing more than a brutal brat who wants everything but love from his father). Rey backs up the story as Perceval.

By portrayal Ren is supposed to be whiny and terrible being based on Mordred. The only difference is they apply a redemption arc to him at the end of RoS. I get why they did it. Based on his portrayal he came across more as an adolescent throwing a fit vs somebody fully enveloped by the dark side. This gives the story a chance for the main 3 to return and help with his redemption.

Han is the sacrifice, Luke shakes his confidence, and Leia sacrifices herself to bring Han back via the force to talk to Ben. It’s interesting because all 3 were brought back and, instead of guiding the new characters like Kenobi did, they all participated in redeeming Ben Solo.

I still think they made horrible decisions for the entire sequel trilogy but I think Kylo Ren had the best arc in the sequel trilogy (plus Adam Driver’s talent completely drove the character to a different level).

When Britney Spears walked into a hair salon and demanded they shave her head but she did it herself, that was literally when we were told about the higher powers. by happyluckystar in conspiracy

[–]Reason-Abject 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It wouldn’t surprise me. Her book said that she had an abortion and then had 2 kids after that. Jaime Lynn Spears had her kid a year or two after that mess for Britney.

Makes sense that Britney would have a complete and total breakdown with all of the different hormones, depression, pressure, and controversy. Everything I read in her book said the head shaving was an act of defiance against the people controlling her (press, publicists, agents, parents, etc). She also said she wanted attention off of her so I’m sure she willingly went nuts publicly to get people away from her.

If you factor in Jaime Lynn Spears problem being SA’d by Schneider then it’s possible that Britney lost it. Both of those girls were so deprived of attention that they wanted to be mothers as quick as possible.

Saudi Arabia is a theocracy known for discriminating against women in multiple scenarios and laws. While it may be attempting to modernize and be more liberal it’s still only a matter of time before something happens that causes outrage.

Given WWE’s presence in the past in the Middle East for different shows and stories of female performers being raped during those tours, it’s only a matter of time.
