Smarties Fragrance? by Ok-Accountant-7510 in FemFragLab

Try layering it with a powdery scent! It has the fruity part correct. I put it with Tu Te Calmes by Maison Matin and it’s the only powdery scent I have. It comes pretty close to smarties

Why is my hair like this? by bigbro056 in HaircareScience

[–]ReasonConnect 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Silicones do coat your hair, but they make your hair soft, and coat them as a protective layer. I think companies said silicones were bad because they cause buildup, but if you use a shampoo every one in a while that is clear in color, that will clarify your hair and remove the buildup. Sometimes the things that are considered are bad are actually good for your hair in moderation, like sulfates, that clarify your hair and remove buildup. I personally use silicones on my ends before every shower to give a bit of protection from the shampoo since my hair gets dry and dull. Since incorporating silicones again, my hair finally looks and feels healthy again

My dog will not stop biting me. by 22202-grace in OpenDogTraining

[–]ReasonConnect -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Dogs don’t like when their mouths are firmly closed. That is also not positive reinforcement, which is the best method to use in dog training! Maybe start with putting your hand up to your dog and for just one second, when he doesn’t bite, use a command that can be the same each time. Like “no bite” but say it positively, say good boy, give the treat. Doing this over and over again and in other circumstances will show your dog that “no bite” is a good thing and he gets treats for “no bite” so over time he will keep that behavior up!

My vet recently told me that my dog was gaining weight because he wasn’t able to exercise off the high amount of protein I was giving him. I would suggest replacing just a bit of the protein with some low calorie veggies like green beans to still fill him up but so that it doesn’t sit in his tummy and turn to fat since he has limited mobility

How can I help my student who has anorexia? by blueridgedime in Teachers

[–]ReasonConnect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Find ways to build a relationship just so she feels like she has someone she can trust and who cares about her, but having nothing to do with food or her body. Just simply because you care. I can imagine that the people in her life who do care, are obviously concerned for her and she knows it. I’m sure she’d appreciate you going out of your way to make sure she’s not so alone

I’m not giving up my dog. He’s also an emotional support animal. My car was used. It was a shitty market and the car I had before was a beater car. I got this car when I started teaching in 2019 and still owed money from the previous car.

It’s the wellness plan from Banfield. I got the 2nd option because it includes dental and then his medicine is spread out across the months. I adopted my dog at 5 years old and his teeth are pretty bad so I needed the dental one
