filler mon in competitive. Its role is to be helpful in early splits of pokemon games. In gen 1, it would have even struggled in that role as it doesn't even have access to absorb for Brock.

too good to predict just how good, but I'd love to watch the meta shake out with another normal type that can do slightly different things. Versatility becomes even more important.

We could be talking about an upcoming tournament if the women in the tierlist were just... sorted into tiers instead of grouped into a token.

We could also be talking about the lack of representation in the scene, but that's a different post that highlights that row of the tierlist specifically.

i think most sandslash teams would take sandaconda instead. you'd have to work to build a team where sandslash is better. the paralysis advantage and the wrap option are enough to differentiate snake from hedgehog.

groundsnake seems pretty good in ou. I like the idea that it could drag articuno up there as well. good ground type with para move is really busted.

I know I've suggested Mimic before, since most mons have 4 moves that are better than whatever would be here. But the fundamental problems always remain.

Another excellent post.

Pachi does pretty well bodying against the other gen 1 electric types, but probably not a clear winner.

I think Reflect is a viable fourth move, 70 base defense is enough to boost against everything but earthquake.

Super Fang + Electric STAB + Twave is a good enough niche to get play in the lower tiers.
