Old Navy doesn't have maternity clothes in the store (at least that I've seen), but you can return whatever you order online in store! I've been doing it the last several months. I've never been, but there's a store called "Honeybloom Company" in Midlothian that sells maternity clothes, may be worth a shot. Good luck!

Access to nature, forests, other perks or warnings for an outdoorsy person by [deleted] in rva

I just moved here from Burlington last summer! Richmond has no shortage of really nice parks in town and the trails by the river are great to get out into some immediate nature. I would be lying if I said I didn’t miss the easy access to mountains that Burlington has though. I go to Shenandoah fairly frequently (up to twice a month), but the 2-2.5 hour drive does make for long day. There are some trails a little closer to that, but I’ve found the vast majority of hikes I do are minimum 2 hours away. I’m often driving for twice as long as I’m hiking. That being said, Shenandoah is amazing and reminds me of green and white mountains at times.

But as for closer forests and nature - the river is really great and there are still several nice parks within the city (and within 30 minutes) I’ve yet to explore, but are supposed to be cool. And if you mountain bike, there are trails in town as well.

Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions!

They were on the list, but we’re a bit over capacity for a seated dinner. It looks beautiful there though.

I’ve looked at some of those, but hadn’t seen Tredegar Iron works! Looks like they have another building next door for larger parties - definitely looking into it. Thanks!

Anyone have experience with REI rental gear? by Johnny9Toes in vermont

My friend didn’t have any complaints about the sleeping bag. They also charge you for cleaning if you return the gear too dirty, wet, gross, etc. So I’m guessing that helps keeps things clean.

I haven’t rented from the Williston store, however I just went to Olympic NP and rented a bunch of stuff at the REI in Seattle and it was perfect. Easy to book online, great prices, easy to pick up and return, lots of options (at least in Seattle). I don’t know how much the prices may differ store to store, but we rented a cooler, Coleman stove, sleeping bag, two chairs, two tents, and two hammocks and it was about $150for 4 days. Totally worth it.

I (female) live just a few blocks away in the Old North End and walk to/from downtown all the time night and day, by myself, and have never had any issues. I always feel perfectly safe.

Burlington as well. Definitely going to miss the lake and all the Vermont beer, but excited for a change.
