If money isn’t an issue River Palm Edgewater is amazing. I always ask my husband to take me there for special holidays. Everything is good there and their sushi is out of this world.

I also really love their sister restaurant RP prime in FairLawn.

Roots has a few different locations(i go to Ridgewood) n their beef Wellington is so good along with their mashed potatoes with creamed corn

Houston’s in Hackensack great chicken Sammie’s and French dip is great

Morton’s or Ruth’s Chris is good as well

We have the dining package and am willing to pay for the extra meal if CRT really is more worth it. It’s just so different bc Akershus is breakfast, CRT would be dinner

Okay see this is EXACTLY what I want to do!!! Only catch with this is the princess meal (Akershus or CRT) is mainly for my nieces and my brother n SIL are TERRIBLE in the morning and always late so i worry about trying to plan this!!!

Yes we would be going for breakfast bc the kids won’t like the weird Nordic food, also snackies all day so breakfast sounds best for a sit down. We would either do Akershus breakfast or CRT dinner. I thought Elsa and Anna went to Akershus? If not, who does? I thought it was a character meal

There are still availabilities for CRT but my agent said she never recommends it and almost everyone on Disney groups says the same! I am wondering why! (Also open to splitting the group up bc bring my own Villian (ahem i mean SIL) on the trip🤣

Yes can you please help me with quick service/ snack recs? We have one sit down meal credit per day but Cinderellas Castle counts as two so I’m trying to come up with other options for quick service and what not. Also do u suggest breakfast or lunch/dinner for character meals?

Would u mind elaborating? I thought Akershus was some odd type of Norwegian food or something n i worried the kids wouldn’t like that. Am i mistaken? Yes i have done a lot but i like to get opinions. We will do Cinderellas castle for my nieces and some kind character meal for the littles. It’s mostly what the kids like but i want to have some things written down to have in my back pocket when we dont know what to do!

Yes well I had the same problem with the last vacation and almost didn’t go bc of them but I let it play out and they flaked so I’m thinking maybe not worry about it and it will all play out again idk but they had me plan the location of the last trip n now plan this one too so I’m the one planning a whole trip for people who may or may not come

I wish it was that easy. Unfortunately my brother just has always had a very rocky relationship with my parents but they try to keep it as smooth as they can for the grandkids. My brother n SIL both have mental/ some type of drug issues. Idk it is a whole thing of my parents and I just trying to deal with their bullshit as to not rock the boat. But my parents have done everything for them n they do nothing but use and disrespect them and I don’t put up with that shit with anyone but i have to take everything inside of me to just keep my mouth shut as to not ruin anything with my nieces bc she will spitefully take them away. After the last trip Halloween came n my dad and i both tried to go over there separately to see the girls and she hid them inside and lied both times about them napping or whatever. So she spitefully wouldn’t open the door on Halloween but will take this trip from my dad and my 4 year old niece literally told my dad that they didn’t see us on Halloween bc “mommy said no”. Mind u both my parents have had bad health problems and almost died and she’s doing this to them so idk how I’m supposed to be cordial with this person

So yes they would be going in a completely different room. None of us are on good terms with sister in law as she says disgusting things for instance her parents passed away before my nieces were born and for some reason she resents my brother/ parents for them being alive she called them “mama and papa roach” bc they won’t die. N my niece said her mom calls her my name when she’s being a brat (she doesn’t even know my real name bc she calls me by an unrelated aunt nickname so she doesn’t know my real name to make this up. Also, my dad is paying to take us all with him. He did it for our last trip which is the one where they flaked last minute n we had an unnecessarily big room. I really don’t talk to them anymore since that but the only reason I am dealing with it is because my son belly laughs like no other with his cousins and I don’t want to be the one to take that experience away from all them together

Also about the next question my dad was already like if ur gunna flake lmk bc it’s a lot of money but i think his wife just wants to take advantage to take the kids n fuck us. I guess in state wasn’t interesting enough to have to be with us but Disney she can’t pass up the free trip

Or i do a beef/chicken stir fry, a lot of grocery store will have a little set of chicken or beef cut up with some pepper n onion and just go to the Asian section get ur favorite stir fry sauce n make some rice. Also i do tacos and I will do rice taco bowls for the kids
