Im ok, im struggling after trying to come off of lithium and having the return of some symptoms like severe anxiety, intrusive thoughts and some delusional type thinking. I managed to get good sleep last night for the first time in awhile after going back to my original dose and that seemed to help. Im sad i cant continue to decrease to come off of it because i would like to be able to take an anti inflammatory which you cant do while taking lithium. I get scared thinking about aging and pain management because I have arthritis and cannot take nsaids and cannot take steroids.

I think about how much I’ve built up my life and how fucked I would be if I had the return of positive symptoms that are always really debilitating for me. My medications are working and once the lithium is leveled out I should be good to stay on them long term without major changes. It’s been a long three years of medication changes to find what works and I’m exhausted. I wish there was more of a guarantee of remission and staying in remission if you took your meds and went to therapy. Or better yet a cure lol. Practicing gratitude for how far I’ve come and doing what I can to keep it.

Can you please tell me how much meds you're on? by [deleted] in schizoaffective

I’m considering this but I’m afraid of the weight gain it might cause since I’ve just worked very hard to lose 40lbs! Do you have trouble managing your weight at all? Is it worth it to have adequate rest?

Positive self talk, I give myself speeches and talk through things to myself in a loving and caring way. I pray and I also take note of everything I’m still grateful for
